You didn't show me how to secure the two ends after threading them through the end beads. Do you crimp, glue or ?

this makes no sense - I tried what is shown and it turns into a giant glob. How are your beads turned sideways in the first row to begin with??? You're basically pulling the thread the same way through all so they should line up.
