I love 953 loaders. I've spent 75% of my 18 years in dirt moving on one around the same age as the one Chris has. Clearing, digging basements, putting in driveways, building pads, and anything else. They are so fun to be on. Kind of like a giant skidsteer in a way. The ones with a regular bucket have a float function for the bucket so when you backdrag it will pull the loose high stuff into the low areas and make everything really smooth. Ones with the 4 in 1 bucket don't have that function.
Just take a look at that fleet - and there's more - on your own farm. It is such a pleasure to watch you build your business and life dream - thank you and good on ya mate (as we say in Aus).

Glad to see you have figured out the utility of grading with the bucket open on the 953. You can sort sticks out of wet material pretty good like that too . Only movemt required is a couple inches up and down with the clam.

I am always amazed as to how much dirt is needed to raise a spot just a few inches. Figured Charlie might give you a friends discount for the soil cement set up, but man there will be no issues after that.
if you soil cement the road you better make a bealy good effort documenting it, mr copperheadmarine allways got them short videos, sprinkle some big rock and concrete chunks in there show what it can and cant do , in my opineon you should make the road cross the pond dam after you widen it and change its location downstream - as you planned, then you can take out the upper road and elongate the head section by a actual lot - dirt you can use to create some high ground to give the holliday homes positive drainage and a nicer view

That looked like a very impressively seamless jump-cut at [15:08], then the other guy appeared on the sheep's foot compactor to spoil the effect. That dirt looks like pre-mix cement already. It's good to have all the machines to hand :-)

Always wondered why they make exhausts that point straight up and are open for rain to enter and routes it direct to the exhaust manifold and into the engine cylinder head. Put a U bend at the top or a system to positively drain water that enters... before the water gets to the exhaust manifold.
