This is my real 10 Year Anniversary Video.
When I begain this TH-cam journey in 2010, my first full project was a Ocarina of Time Warp Songs Medley that I made with the best I had. All I had to make it was a guitar, a bad computer, a distortion pedal, and audacity. It would be months before I knew what a Digital Audio Workstation, Compression, EQ, or even an audio interface even EXISTED. It was a rough project, but my passion for video game music and metal was not going to be held back by my lack of equipment. I did my best with what I had. This is me doing the same project, with the best I have now, 10 years later.
I broke out all of the best tricks I know for this with mixing, recording, mastering, video editing, and everything else I've learned over the last decade and I also did it in less time than I had for the first one. I really wanted to illustrate how much 10 years of extreme hard work improved my ability as someone who's always struggled with learning things at a fast pace. I've never been one to pick up and master things very quickly so this is as much a showcase to you guys as it is myself.
If you watched the reuploaded 2010 version, you'll notice I didn't change much about the structure. Looking back on it, I really did notice that I had really cool ideas of how to transition between the songs and ways to embellish the songs without harming the original flow which is something I've always found important with projects like these. I almost consider this a cover of my cover, trying to bring it to the next level while also respecting the original ideas. I hope it's a monumental leap forward to your ears as well!
It's without a doubt, that the decision to start making videos on this channel was the biggest and most important decision of my life so far. It paved the way to an insane amount of opportunities and dreams to come true. Thank you all for sticking with me who've been here a while, and welcome to everyone who is new to see what the next 10 years holds for me and my channel.

As a celebration for 10 years of FamilyJules on TH-cam, I decided to take my very first video game medley idea (that I deleted because it sounded bad lol) and redo it with all the tricks I've learned over the past decade. I put a lot of heart into this project while also holding true to my original ideas all those years ago. I hope you enjoy! Thank you so much for an amazing 10 years! Here's to another 10!

You were doing what I always wanted to without a band. 10 years later I’ve recorded my own video game cover album, wrote and produced an EP, and collaborated with many amazing musicians over the internet because “I saw FamilyJules7X doing it with CSGuitar89!!” I started learning bass and piano because of your videos, I started feeling confident as a musician and exploring different genres like jazz because, once again, “FamilyJules7X is doing that and I wanna be just like him!” So when I look back over the years, many guitarists have influenced my playing from Alan Holdsworth to Matt Heafy, and my biggest inspiration who has had the largest impact on my musical career, is you. From FamilyJules7X to Family Jules, I thank you from the bottom of my heart and here’s to another 10 YEARS!!! 🍻🍻
Man, 10 years, that is nuts. I’ve not been watching for that whole time, but at least since 2014 shortly before you released Replay, when I stumbled upon your Kirby Guitar Medley, which single handedly sparked my interest in recording and mastering guitar. I’ve since released my own cover of Gourmet Race, and I can only thank you for the reason it got made.
I’ve made many a reference to you in my own videos. Sometimes subtly, other times pretty... blatantly. But, I only cite you in those videos because you gave me the inspiration to do what I do now. I know your one goal in life is to inspire, and you’ve done that. Not just to me but to many hundreds of people. You mentioned it in your draw my life, but it’s worth bringing it up again, because it’s true. You’ve inspired hundreds of thousands of people to take up guitar, or recording, or even inspired people to just appreciate video game music in other ways than what’s in the game. And we can only thank you for what you have given us.
You’re a true inspiration, Jules. Please don’t stop doing what you’re doing. I can only hope to one day jam with you in some fashion, as much a pipe dream as it is. Until that opportunity may arise, keep doing what you do: making epic metal arrangements of video game music. You deserve everything good that’s come to you!

I don't know why, I was looking at the description and seeing the words "Proudly endorsed by..." Almost got me emotional. It sounds so random, but it's something about the word "Proudly" used when presenting something you created or appreciating a product that gives me such good feelings and confidence in what you do. Very few people do that with the words being empty in the industry.
