Kolto and bacta were out around similiar times. Bacta being later, and it was at first ineffecient to make, so kolto remained the popular choice. But once they figured out how to make bacta faster. Kolto got screwed hard.
I was about to blow a gasket about the series just ending but then I realized that these videos are current. It's rare I get to watch a series like this, subscribed!
Is Fishy, fishy, fishy out there? Fishy, fishy, fishy? Ha ha! Coming to eat me, too? Ha ha ha ha! You can't get me, little fishy, not in here! I'm safe behind my walls!
What are the chances that the First Order has found its own healing liquid in the Unknown Regions? I feel like Kolto and Bacta won't end up being the only two substances of their kind in canon. It always seemed crazy to me how Manaan and Thyferra managed to supply the entire galaxy for millennia. Or perhaps the First Order managed to synthesize it, since they love their advanced technology
As bad as the methods of the Genoharadan may be, their goals were to keep the stability of the Republic. I think would be cool if they were pitted against a group that had a opposite interest, perhaps a criminal organization such as the Exchange, Black Sun or the Hutts. By the way, if they recanonize them as part of a desperate plan of the New Republic in containing the avance of the First Order, would be great.
I never knew Darth Bandon could find you on Manaan! My copy of the game on Xbox must be glitched because if I do Manaan third, Bandon doesn't appear. I actually used it on my first playthrough to skip the fight (since the alternative was fighting him alone on Korriban). Then again, my copy of kotor is probably more glitched than others seeing as I accidentally found the "Galaxy Droid" glitch in another playthrough that allowed me to go to whichever world I wanted, including Taris and the Star Forge
My first play through was dark side and I was unable to complete the bounty hunter mission because I was banned from mannan and dantoine was destroyed. ☹️
Omg, the companions running into mines lmao. I also used them to clear mines since they just ran into them anyway. I hope you visit KOTOR 2 after this one.
I don't get why old republic visual design won't look more game of thronish more masters of the universe, it always looked kind of more techy than the modern episodes.
Speaking of the Firaxa Sharks, why did you show no fear of those creatures? I often played the game with darker graphics, and that made those sharks terrifying, I swear to God!
Can you do something to make the lore play instantly stand out ? because the title is usualy long so the "lore play" isn't visible in the title and they totaly blend with your other videos. Something like a lore play logo in the thumbnails ?
Kolbein of Holmr I don't understand the canon explanation for how they work. They say it's in mist form but all other canon uses suggest the wound has to be either submerged or coated in the liquid?
Kolbein of Holmr I guess so but the Stormtroopers use them too, just seems weird. The little mini bacta tank pickups in the original battlefront atleast suggested you needed to acquire the liquid.
Storm Yeah maybe, it just seems really silly that they're adding stuff like that to canon. like why give infantry troopers a "healing grenade." If they had maybe put in like a mobile bacta dispenser or a healing station or maybe a deployable bacta turret or something just to make it seem a bit more fitting in-universe? I don't know, just moaning because it's fun to discuss I guess. Republic Commando did it the best I think.
Minor correction here, as pointed out by someone already. Bacta is already around by the time of KOTOR and KOTOR 2, as well as SWTOR, it's just not as common as Kolto, and is highly expensive. Sources: starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Bacta/Legends starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Jedi_Civil_War
Omg, I hate it when they go off on their own like that. Why didn't you stop them? I get that Jolee is a pretty good healer when he has the Force Heal abilities but you don't know where the next attack is going to come out. And since there's so many mines in this one area I'm surprised that you didn't bring the droid or Mission with you. You never know when you might need them. I think you missed the part where the Selkath harvested the Kolto from the planet, not the shark. The giant shark that you encounter grew to such a size due to its habitat being that rift where the raw kolto was found. It is believed to be the great ancestor of the Selkath by the Manaan's inhabitants. The shark itself wasn't the source of the substance. Speaking of the shark, did you ever try to approach it before you blew the harvester up? Just to see what it would do? I haven't done that yet. Have you completed the side mission where you encounter a Dantooine girl on board your ship that was kidnapped by Mandalorians? You can find the guy searching for her at the Dantooine landing pad. You don't really get a reward apart from Light Side points, some xp, and familiarity of the Mandalorian written language. I say written because in the game she speaks Huttese, while the words come out as Mando'a. After Manaan, you're gonna get captured by Malak's ship, which isn't that big of a deal, and then it's on to Korriban, which is probably the most fun out of the various planets. It's the direct opposite of Dantooine. There you meet a smuggler who wants you to transport a mysterious object to the Hutt on Tatooine (I forgot his name). I think that you should include this side mission in a video because it's the first time that you meet a Rakatan that's not a holographic image. You have to win a minigame in order to be free of him and it reminds me of Biblo's and Gollum's encounter in The Hobbit.
1;06 This is what the Destroy Droid power is actually useful for, people. Forget about droid enemies, it's to prevent the dumb A.I from killing your party.
so wrong: bacta was discovered 2:08 in 4100 BBY yes but the year during the game was 3956 BBY. starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Timeline_of_galactic_history/Legends
Still hate dealing with that planet... which you had to keep going to over and over again because the loot was just too good... I mean yeah it isn't as good as the Yavin stuff but that wasn't available in the Xbox version without online so...
You made a small mistake, 4100 BBY is 144 years BEFORE Knights of the Old Republic takes place in 3956 BBY. Which begs the question, if the galaxy knew about bacta before the Jedi Civil War, then why were they still using kolto?
Bacta was discovered in 4100 BBY, the events of KOTOR take place in roughly 3956 BBY meaning it had been 144 years since the discovery of bacta and kolto was still important
2002: Truly wonderful the mind of a child is.
2005: Anakin slaughtering younglings.
I
know
right
Just can't get enough of that intro!
Sturfelt me too!
Sturfelt same I missed some of the series so it is really good

Alex!! You were on "The Star Wars show" today!!
actually it was yesterday, I just realized its 1 am here in Seattle lol
Is Fishy, fishy, fishy out there? Fishy, fishy, fishy? Ha ha! Coming to eat me, too? Ha ha ha ha! You can't get me, little fishy, not in here! I'm safe behind my walls!
I have a lightsaber!
Jolee Bindo: Mine-Hugger.
"Walk it off, you're fine."
He can create health packs when off mission.
"Rub some dirt on it!"
Though I do love the elements of the manaan level. Also also also I almost always have fought Bandon on tatooine
OBEY THE LAW HERE ON MANAAN, HUMAN!
Loving the humor in this series

Yes the Genoharadan, love that story!
I love the 8-bit music Alex!
LOVE THE RETRO STYLE INTRO
I guess that the next video will be about the Genoharadan, i love their story and hope they make into canon.
I will be waiting to a book or comic book with a canon story of a secret war between the Genoharadan and the Bothan spy net.
Taking the genoharadan quest was like having a twisted assassin's creed inside the SW universe
As bad as the methods of the Genoharadan may be, their goals were to keep the stability of the Republic. "We nursed you back to health with our magical healing slooge."

Love this series, keep it up :)
So that's where bacta came from? Great video!!
I wonder if Kolto interacted with the Force to achieve its healing effects, which is what made it impossible to synthesize.
Ugh! I didn't want it to end!
How did the Sith empire in the unknown regions get kolto in the book Revan
Omg, the companions running into mines lmao. I also used them to clear mines since they just ran into them anyway. I hope you visit KOTOR 2 after this one.
I never knew you could beat the mannan area without getting banned or having that trial at the end, rip me. guess i'll have to replay that
You, get some Bacta!
Ever since I first played this game, I've wished I could invent a deep-water diving suit just like the one at Hrackert Rift.
I don't get why old republic visual design won't look more game of thronish more masters of the universe, it always looked kind of more techy than the modern episodes.

How about this:
"Lore Play: [GAME], Episode [X]: [Title]"
but why? there is a list with the videos and the search on the channel makes the tile even more clear
What about the canon stupidity of Bacta Grenades from Battlefront? :')
Mike Wilks What's stupid about them?
Kolbein of Holmr I don't understand the canon explanation for how they work. They say it's in mist form but all other canon uses suggest the wound has to be either submerged or coated in the liquid?
Mike Wilks Mist is a form of vapour so I guess it settles on your skin and has a slight healing effect.
Kolbein of Holmr I guess so but the Stormtroopers use them too, just seems weird. The little mini bacta tank pickups in the original battlefront atleast suggested you needed to acquire the liquid.

Manaan was probably my favorite world in the game. I really hayed hulas though
2:34 Didnt know that Rogue from the Xmen was in star wars.......
you should do video about gree
no mention of Kolcta?

nice intro I like it a lot! :D
If bacta was created in 4100 BBY, that would mean it has been around for about 100 years before the games' date, 3956 BBY, not created 800 years after
lenelmaseasko123 he probably meant to say 3100 bby
But 3100 BBY is wrong. Bacta was discovered as he stated before, around 4100 BBY, meaning it was already around, just for the extremely wealthy.
lenelmaseasko123
Yeah, just think he just got the numbers mixed up a bit.

It's been a long time since I played the game but I'm fairly certain that if you get too close to that big firaxa shark you will become it's lunch.
Do you remember how graphic is the cutscene?
I don't think it was anymore graphic than what happened to the guy you meet when you first leave the base.
Do you know if there ever were any car-like vehicles in Star Wars? Like real vehicles with wheels?
starwars.wikia.com/wiki/HAVw_A5_Juggernaut
Wedge Antilles I'm embarrassed. How could I forget the turbo tank?
1;06 This is what the Destroy Droid power is actually useful for, people. Forget about droid enemies, it's to prevent the dumb A.I from killing your party.
How does a bacta bomb work?
so wrong: bacta was discovered 2:08 in 4100 BBY yes but the year during the game was 3956 BBY. starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Timeline_of_galactic_history/Legends
Walk it off Jolee!
What about bota?

Republic commando role play, stop limping around and get yourself some bacta

2:12 Wrong!! KOTOR is 3956 BBY, not 4900 BBY.
What if Amidala had signed the treaty?
Colt Oh
You really should be using Jedi robes so you can use all your force powers
In my oppinion 7 films in a week is to much. I am only interested in average one every 10... But still GREAT JOB!
3:31 😂
STAR WARS : Is Agent Kallus General Madine ? Theory
That intro is amazing. Also I'm the 27th comment woot! Hahaha
Bandon did not spawn for me.
You know you're good at this stuff well when you can make a video about kolto and get 17,000 views in a day
Aw... No Fishy Man? :(
Bacta was discovered in 4100 BBY, the events of KOTOR take place in roughly 3956 BBY meaning it had been 144 years since the discovery of bacta and kolto was still important
I'm the mini version of you basically I'm a way younger version of you
Watch Dash Star's latest video.
I am still bitter to the fact i am banned from the planete...
