How do I record high and clean sound with mixpre10 and sanken lap mic...... Or any other suggestions needed ..... I want to achieve sound like suits serial .....
Hey Dave, do you know if the 10T can be used as an audio interface on a computer using only USB-A ? (even being in "reduced mode" like I believe the MixPre-6 can do allowing only 2 channels) ? I would really like to purchase the 10T for field and studio needs but I have a 2012 macbook with only USB-A's so I was wondering if I would be able to use the 10T at all on that computer (2 channels only would do as an interface). Thanks, Cheers.
ronfya Yes you can do that based on how my MP3 works. The USB A connector is core audio compliant. You can download the Sound Devices ASIO driver to use all the ins and outs if you want. If not you will get two ins and two outs.
You are correct. My mistake. But what is new in regards to tone is the ability to assign it to the user assignable switch and the ability to assign it to tracks.
+Dave's Audio Corner - Two questions: 1. Are there built-in -10dB or -20dB attenuation ''Pads'' available on the 8 microphone preamps? 2. When using the 1/4'' TRS Line Level Inputs on the 8 combi-jacks, does the Line Level Signal completely bypass the microphone Preamp Circuitry??? Or does the Line Level signal pass through the mic preamp circuitry + an attenuation circuit? Thanks for your time and interest. The MixPre 10T looks like a fantastic device. B.B.
bb foto There are no switchable attenuation pads on the preamps. The 1/4 inch TRS do not bypass the preamp circuit. Line level input setting lowers the gain of the preamp.
Solid video as usual Dave. Solid!
It is really good.

You say Tone is new for MP10, but Tone is in my MP3 (and MP6).
