Hey Frank. Im a fellow zuki owner, 95 USDM Tracker, been doing alot of work over the pasr year! Loving your vids, I enjoy seeing someone else wrench on the same trucks as me. Dont stop making them, someone out here watching 😁
Have watched your lower and cylinder head rebuilds many times now. about to embark on the rebuild myself. I was wondering what grits of Sandpaper did you use? You mention 220 grit but did you step up to anything else before 1200?
Yes. Probably a little inconsistent of me trying to make video short, but yes, I did the main work with 220. Then 300 or 350 grit and then 600 grit. The 1200 is probably unnecessary, but I just used it to put a final polish on. Good luck with your project. I spent pretty much one whole Alaska winter rebuilding that engine and head. Got a little tedious sometimes, but I was never in a hurry and only worked on it when I felt like working on it. I runs great by the way. My project page (for messages and questions): facebook.com/SidekickRebuild/
hello ,, my friend i have samurai with g13ba and i have all rebuild parts for it ,, now i got g16a ,, will the flat top pistons size 0.50 mm for the g13ba fit in g16a ??? plz ans me i really want the g16a but i want to rebuild it before put it in the samurai ,, and most off rebuild parts fits the g16a i checked them exept for pistons im not sure ?? plz help
I know nothing about the g13ba engine block or pistons. You can just measure the pistons to see if they are the correct size. If the size is correct then I think that they will work fine as long as they do not hit the valves.
No. I have 4 engines. Two have cracked blocks. This block with the main bearing caps came from one of my spare parts cars. The crank shaft and piston rods came from the engine that had the cracked block. I think, based on the condition of the cylinders that this block had much higher mileage on it, but I found no cracks anywhere and the cylinders are all near perfect now after many hours of honing.

Is this the same block that had the crack?
