He also said that for learning and understanding Islam, Prophet’s life and teachings are the best source. The Hindu scholar, Swami Lakshmi Shankaracharya, said, “We are talking about Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and we should keep it in our mind that he is the greatest individual in history. If anyone wants to know about Islam, one should judge Islam by Prophet’s (peace be upon him) life and his teachings.” While delivering a lecture on “Seerat-un-Nabi” (Prophet’s life) at a conference held in Patna, the capital city Bihar province, recently, Swami who is also the founder of Jan Ekta Manch, said that peace and humanity is the core teaching of Islam. But, unfortunately, most of the Muslims don’t follow Islamic teachings and they hardly learn from the life of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). It is interesting to note that the Hindu seer was initially very critical about Islam and its concept of Jihad. He considered Islam to be the root cause of global terrorism. Gavin never was a Christian. Christians know: Through Christ, God gave us back the divine life mankind lost in its fall. Hence the divine healing miracles and casting out of demons, we experience up to this day. To not see God in Christ.... is impossible. "The Father and I are one!" "If you see Me, you see the Father!" "Don't you believe that the Father is IN Me?" "ALL (!) AUTHORITY in heaven and earth has been given to Me!". (Only God has all authority). At healing the paralytic: "Your sins have been forgiven you!" (Only God can forgive sins). "I am THE (not a) light of the world"......: God. "I have come to give you Zoë (=divine life) in abundance".... Only God can give Zoë life. "I am from above, you are from beneath. You are from this world, I am not from this world"..... Etc, etc, etc, When He explained these things, healed the sick, casted out demons, raised the dead, controlled nature for 3 years, they all worshipped Him as God/Messiah.... except for the critical scholars and farisees! He NEVER said: "Don't worship Me, I am just a prophet!". The Jews wanted to stone Him because: "You claim to be God". So Jesus is God manifesting in Human form. Period. Glad He did. So now we finally know the sayings and actions of God. Next step. To not see Jesus bringing the divine life of the ages back to you-manity.... is impossible. As i understood these things, i experienced healing miracles and the casting out of demons already thousands of times and many other true believers do too. Yay! Conclusion of Paul after having revelation and healing all on Malta: "Jesus, the exact image of the invisible God. The fullness of deity dwells in Jesus bodily" and you have been made complete IN Him (the last Adam), who is the head of every principality and power". John (who had seen, touched, heard Jesus and walked in the same power and love): "the invisible God manifested in human form, in Christ and now in us". Thomas having revelation saying to Jesus: "My Lord and My God!". Jesus being God did NOT correct Him. Etc, etc, etc. His life totally proves He is God in human form. Begotten by the Spirit of God, filled with the spirit of God, healing all, raising the dead, casting out demons, controlling nature, raised from the dead, pouring out His Spirit for us to be indwelled by to be empowered to heal the sick and cast out demons, etc, etc, etc. Way to much to degrade Him to "just a prophet". So... Jesus is the manifestation of God in a human body.... "the Son" of God. He came to take the alienation away mankind got trapped in after the fall. He came to give us back the divine life Adam/mankind lost in its fall. Because of this fall, a perfect Holy sacrifice had to be made. That is what God did in Christ! It shows His deep, pure, affectionate passion from Him to you/His creation, to restore you back to origin: Christlikeness. Walking in divine power and unselfish divine love. Jesus walked flawless. Muhammed on the other hand.... Muhammed came after Jesus. He unfortunately never understood God's resolve for mankind's fall, wrote another story, called it the only truth, cutting of the real truth, leading millions astray from their godly identity in Christ. Heartbreaking. But for those who take Jesus for who He is and ask to be filled by His godly Holy Spirit.....: divine life. Tangible presence of God, healings, demons running for cover, etc. Just as with His first 12+72 friends. God will make you experience the full (godly) Life made possible through Holy Spirit. So don't be afraid to leave islam. God can only be found in/through Jesus Christ. Ask Him to fill you with His/God's Holy Spirit so He can guide you into truth and transform your life. When we read the very next verse after john 10:33, Jesus Christ himself responds to to this misunderstanding of Jews (and some christians today). Many Christians do not quote the next verse which gives jesus’s response to the jewish claim that he was claiming to be God, and in this verse jesus denies their accusation that he claimed to be god. The jews accused jesus of claiming divinity and the christians also say that jesus was making this assertion and claim but jesus clearly denies this in John 10:34-36 ◾Let’s see jesus’s response to their accusation. John 10:34-36 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? 35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken; 36 Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemist; because I said, I am the Son of God? In reply to the jews accusation Jesus replies by quoting Psalms 82:6 “I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.” In other words jesus is telling them that if your own book calls you as God , why are you accusing me when i only said i’m a son of god? You are called Gods n i’m only saying i’m a son of God. Jesus says i’m only calling myself son of elohim where as you are called elohim and if jesus really claimed divinity, what other accusation do the jews need to kill him?? this is more than what they want, in fact there can be no reason greater than this, but rather they accuse him and condemn him because he claimed to be the messiah. The analogy is like a robber who robs a bank and also a coke tin and he is accused n imprisoned for the theft of the coke tin and not the bank robbery. Moreover if jesus meant divinity by saying “i and the father are one” he would have used the word “heis” for “one” and not “hen”, the word in john 10.30 is “hen” which means one in purpose not in status or person. ▪Reference- 1 corinthians 3.8, where this same word “hen” is used and see how it is translated by NIB,NIV,NLT, NRS, 1Cor 3:8 The one who plants and the one who waters have a common purpose*, and each will receive wages according to the labor of each. The greek that is translated as “have a common purpose” is the same word “hen” . Jesus does not mean the oneness that the christian thinks because the greek is “hen estin” which means “one we are” or “we are one” Also if you say that jesus is God because he said that he was one with the father, then his disciples are also Gods or are in God head just as jesus because jesus uses the word one, only once as pertaining to him and God but uses it 5 times in relating the disciples with God. ▪Reference- John 17:11 “Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep through Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We are. John 17:21 “that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. John 17:22 “And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: John 17:23 “I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me. Is jesus praying that the 12 disciples including judas(the traitor) be taken into godhead? NO!! He means that they may be one in purpose just as jesus and god are. I hope this reply is sufficient for the christians. ◾Note One more thing here: Many english translations translate verse 36 and have jesus refer to himself as “THE Son of God,” while in the greek text the definite article “the, i.e ho/thon” is absent , the greek has jesus calling himself as “A Son of God”, and not as “THE Son of God”. Refer to the ASV, ERV, NIV etc. which have excluded the word “the” or either its in brackets as in ASV. Now what can the translator do, to translate it correctly while not having jesus being called as “a” son?? they translate it as “i am god’s son”. Refer to NIV, ASV, DBY etc and YNG traslates it as “Son of God I am?”. May Allah (The Provider of Guidance) guide us All. Amin!

One of the most common passages that Trinitarians use in trying to prove that Jesus was God, comes from John 20:28, And in this passage the disciple Thomas supposedly says the following: And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God (John 20:28) So from this passage Christians conclude that Jesus must be God because Thomas called Jesus his Lord and God. On top of this they assert that the immediate context following John 20:28 shows that Jesus did not rebuke Thomas for his confession, rather Jesus accepted the confession, and blessed Thomas. From this they reason that if Jesus was not God, then he would have rebuked Thomas and corrected, however so he did no such thing therefore they assert that Jesus must be God. For starters anyone who reads the Gospels in context will see that they clearly show that Jesus was not God, rather he was a prophet, and a Messiah. Furthermore on top of this, no where in the Gospels do any believers take Jesus as God, rather the believers always take Jesus to be a prophet, and Messiah. Now if anyone has studied the New Testament, as well as the Septuagint, which is basically the Greek version of the Jewish Bible, then one will find out that these exact words are not exclusive for God alone, and that these two terms are applied to many men. Strong's own Greek lexicon defines the Word KYRIOS as follows: is a title of honour expressive of respect and reverence, with which servants greet their master So one of the definitions of the term KYRIOS is a title of honour and respect, specifically a title of honour and respect given to a master by the servant. As we all know Jesus was a leader, he was the Messiah, a prophet, a judge, and the leader of his 12 disciples. Hence it would be no surprise for one of his disciple to call him KYRIOS, in fact this is what we would expect, and this indeed what we get. So the fact is this, the term KYRIOS is not an exclusive Greek word to identify the almighty God. Furthermore as I said above, the term KYRIOS is used of other men besides Jesus, hence are we going to now claim that all of those who are called Lord must be God? Off course not. Now let us move on to the word THEOS, Strong's lexicon translates the word THEOS a follows: -God's representatives or vice-regents -Magistrates and Judges So again even the term THEOS does not exclusively have to refer to the almighty God, rather God's representatives can also be called THEOS, and the same applies for judges and magistrates. As we all know Jesus was God's representative, he was God's prophet, as well as his Messiah, so indeed Jesus was God's representative, and in that sense one can call Jesus a THEOS. So the fact is this, Thomas calling Jesus his KYRIOS and THEOS in no absaloute way means he was calling Jesus his almighty God. Throughout the Gospels Jesus always identifies himself as a prophet, a messiah, and the Son of God. Each one of these titles do not denote divinity, hence we can confidently say that when Jesus was called KYRIOS and THEOS it was not a reference to any divinity, but a reference to his honourable position as a leader, and as a prophet. Moving on, if one reads the Greek Bible one will learn that many people are called THEOS, the devil himself is called THEOS in 2nd Corinthians 4:4, we read: In whom the god (THEOS) of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not So the devil himself is called THEOS, should we all bow and worship satan now? Obviously not! On top of this Moses himself is called a THEOS, and so are the Jewish judges found in the book of Psalms. Yet nobody is going to claim that these people are the almighty true God, and that we should start worshiping them! So the simple fact is this, in no shape or form is Jesus the almighty God for being called KYRIOS and THEOS. We know from the context of the four Gospels that in no way do these terms refer to a divinity; rather they refer to his prophet hood, and him being The Messiah. And Allah Truly Knows Best! • Addendum Now the above explanation I gave is simply one interpretation you could take, which is that if Thomas was really speaking to Jesus, then it still would not make Jesus God, yet this is not the only interpretation one could take. Another very easy interpretation is that when Thomas said My Lord and My God, he was not actually referring to Jesus. One must not forget the context of this chapter, Thomas as we all know is called ?Doubting' Thomas, his faith was greatly shaken, because he believed Jesus to be the prophet, and the Messiah. He knew the Messiah could not die as a false prophet, rather the Messiah would destroy his enemies, and usher in his kingdom, and bring in an age of peace, obviously this did not happen, and Jesus was supposedly killed off, so Thomas was greatly shaken. Now some others were starting to claim that Jesus was alive, and not dead, yet Thomas DOUBTED (hence the name doubting Thomas) this, he did not believe them. Yet Jesus eventually comes right infront of Thomas for Thomas to see the proof that he is alive, and Thomas is astonished, Jesus is not dead, God has saved Jesus, Thomas' faith has been saved, so in a moment of happiness and joy Thomas goes on to praise God and says ?My Lord and My God'. Now some Christians say well no Jew would say God's name in vain, for starters I am not saying Thomas said God's name in vain, so do not attack straw man, I am saying that Thomas was joyful, happy, and he was PRAISING GOD. Christians may reply back and say but Thomas was speaking TO JESUS, that Thomas SAID TO JESUS My Lord and My God. This does not mean much, many times people talk to each other, and say Thank God, or Praise God. In fact this is very common for the Muslims, often times when the Muslims are talking each other they say Alhamdurillah, obviously no one is going to say that one Muslims is referring to the other Muslim as God! So this explanation is yet another interpretation that one could take, the interpretation that one can never take, is that Thomas thought that Jesus was the almighty God, that is the interpretation that will never add up, nor fit the context. And Allah Knows Best!

My choice of Muhammad to lead the list of the world's most influential persons may surprise some readers and may be questioned by others, but he was the only man in history who was supremely successful on both the religious and secular levels.
Of humble origins, Muhammad founded and promulgated one of the world's great religions, and became an immensely effective political leader. Today, thirteen centuries after his death, his influence is still powerful and pervasive.
The majority of the persons in this book had the advantage of being born and raised in centers of civilization, highly cultured or politically pivotal nations. Muhammad, however, was born in the year 570, in the city of Mecca, in southern Arabia, at that time a backward area of the world, far from the centers of trade, art, and learning. Orphaned at age six, he was reared in modest surroundings. Islamic tradition tells us that he was illiterate. His economic position improved when, at age twenty-five, he married a wealthy widow. Nevertheless, as he approached forty, there was little outward indication that he was a remarkable person.
Most Arabs at that time were pagans, who believed in many gods. There were, however, in Mecca, a small number of Jews and Christians; it was from them no doubt that Muhammad first learned of a single, omnipotent God who ruled the entire universe. When he was forty years old, Muhammad became convinced that this one true God (Allah) was speaking to him, and had chosen him to spread the true faith.
For three years, Muhammad preached only to close friends and associates. Then, about 613, he began preaching in public. As he slowly gained converts, the Meccan authorities came to consider him a dangerous nuisance. In 622, fearing for his safety, Muhammad fled to Medina (a city some 200 miles north of Mecca), where he had been offered a position of considerable political power.
This flight, called the Hegira, was the turning point of the Prophet's life. In Mecca, he had had few followers. In Medina, he had many more, and he soon acquired an influence that made him a virtual dictator. During the next few years, while Muhammad s following grew rapidly, a series of battles were fought between Medina and Mecca. This was ended in 630 with Muhammad's triumphant return to Mecca as conqueror. The remaining two and one-half years of his life witnessed the rapid conversion of the Arab tribes to the new religion. When Muhammad died, in 632, he was the effective ruler of all of southern Arabia.
The Bedouin tribesmen of Arabia had a reputation as fierce warriors. But their number was small; and plagued by disunity and internecine warfare, they had been no match for the larger armies of the kingdoms in the settled agricultural areas to the north. However, unified by Muhammad for the first time in history, and inspired by their fervent belief in the one true God, these small Arab armies now embarked upon one of the most astonishing series of conquests in human history. To the northeast of Arabia lay the large Neo-Persian Empire of the Sassanids; to the northwest lay the Byzantine, or Eastern Roman Empire, centered in Constantinople. Numerically, the Arabs were no match for their opponents. On the field of battle, though, the inspired Arabs rapidly conquered all of Mesopotamia, Syria, and Palestine. By 642, Egypt had been wrested from the Byzantine Empire, while the Persian armies had been crushed at the key battles of Qadisiya in 637, and Nehavend in 642.
But even these enormous conquests-which were made under the leadership of Muhammad's close friends and immediate successors, Abu Bakr and 'Umar ibn al-Khattab -did not mark the end of the Arab advance. By 711, the Arab armies had swept completely across North Africa to the Atlantic Ocean There they turned north and, crossing the Strait of Gibraltar, overwhelmed the Visigothic kingdom in Spain.

ⓂFACT: PROPHET MUHAMMAD GREATEST PERSON IN THE HISTORY OF MANKIND, SAYS HINDU SCHOLAR
Islam is a wonderful religion and Prophet of Islam, Muhammad (peace be upon him), is the greatest person in the history of mankind, according to a renowned Hindu scholar in India. He also said that for learning and understanding Islam, Prophet’s life and teachings are the best source.
The Hindu scholar, Swami Lakshmi Shankaracharya, said, “We are talking about Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and we should keep it in our mind that he is the greatest individual in history. If anyone wants to know about Islam, one should judge Islam by Prophet’s (peace be upon him) life and his teachings.”
While delivering a lecture on “Seerat-un-Nabi” (Prophet’s life) at a conference held in Patna, the capital city Bihar province, recently, Swami who is also the founder of Jan Ekta Manch, said that peace and humanity is the core teaching of Islam.
But, unfortunately, most of the Muslims don’t follow Islamic teachings and they hardly learn from the life of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
Exhorting Muslims, he urged, “It is the duty of every Muslim to save and protect the humanity, and that the Prophet would forgive his enemies and showed patience when he was harmed by others, this was his moral teachings which made Islam an international religion.” He cited the stories of “Fatah-Al-Makkah” (Conquest of Makkah) when enemies of Islam were given the amnesty despite being made prisoners of war by the Muslims. On Jihad, he clarified that it has nothing to do with innocent killings or terrorism.
◾The first permission to take to arms was accorded in verse 22:39 of the Holy Qur’an, which reads:
“Permission (to take up arms) is hereby given to those who attacked, because they have been wronged.” The Holy Qur’an further says: “Fight, for the sake of Allah with those that fight against you, but do not be aggressive.”
He also cited extensively from the Hindu scriptures to validate Islam’s endeavor to establish peace on earth.
It is interesting to note that the Hindu seer was initially very critical about Islam and its concept of Jihad. He considered Islam to be the root cause of global terrorism. This thinking had cropped up in his mind because of his study of negative materials on Islam and behavior of some Muslims. Later he wrote a book, “The History of Islamic Terrorism,” too. However, on being urged to study Islam from its original sources, the Swami read the Holy Qur’an from cover to cover besides the life of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). He realized that he had misunderstood Islam. While accepting his mistake he wrote sort of a rejoinder to such negative materials in a book titled, “Islam - Aatank ya Aadarsh” (in Hindi) and its English version, “Islam: Terror or Ideal Path.”
In this book, he clarified the real meaning of Jihad and why Islam is the religion of peace. He concluded that Muslims were enjoined to fight in self-defense to establish peace, without resorting to terror.
The conference was organized by Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Bihar. Nayyaruzzaman, the regional president of the Jamaat, presided over the conference.
He emphasized on the acquisition of true knowledge of Islam and practicing it as was done by the Prophet’s companions.

Through Christ, God gave us back the divine life mankind lost in its fall. Hence the divine healing miracles and casting out of demons, we experience up to this day.
To not see God in Christ.... is impossible.
"The Father and I are one!"

At healing the paralytic: "Your sins have been forgiven you!" (Only God can forgive sins).

When He explained these things, healed the sick, casted out demons, raised the dead, controlled nature for 3 years, they all worshipped Him as God/Messiah.... except for the critical scholars and farisees!
He NEVER said: "Don't worship Me, I am just a prophet!". The Jews wanted to stone Him because: "You claim to be God".
So Jesus is God manifesting in Human form. Period. Glad He did. So now we finally know the sayings and actions of God.
Next step.
To not see Jesus bringing the divine life of the ages back to you-manity.... is impossible.

As i understood these things, i experienced healing miracles and the casting out of demons already thousands of times and many other true believers do too. Yay!
Conclusion of Paul after having revelation and healing all on Malta: "Jesus, the exact image of the invisible God. The fullness of deity dwells in Jesus bodily" and you have been made complete IN Him (the last Adam), who is the head of every principality and power".
John (who had seen, touched, heard Jesus and walked in the same power and love): "the invisible God manifested in human form, in Christ and now in us".
Thomas having revelation saying to Jesus: "My Lord and My God!". Jesus being God did NOT correct Him.
Etc, etc, etc.
His life totally proves He is God in human form. Begotten by the Spirit of God, filled with the spirit of God, healing all, raising the dead, casting out demons, controlling nature, raised from the dead, pouring out His Spirit for us to be indwelled by to be empowered to heal the sick and cast out demons, etc, etc, etc.
Way to much to degrade Him to "just a prophet".
So... Jesus is the manifestation of God in a human body.... "the Son" of God. He came to take the alienation away mankind got trapped in after the fall. He came to give us back the divine life Adam/mankind lost in its fall.
Because of this fall, a perfect Holy sacrifice had to be made. That is what God did in Christ! It shows His deep, pure, affectionate passion from Him to you/His creation, to restore you back to origin: Christlikeness. Walking in divine power and unselfish divine love.
Jesus walked flawless. Muhammed on the other hand....
Muhammed came after Jesus. He unfortunately never understood God's resolve for mankind's fall, wrote another story, called it the only truth, cutting of the real truth, leading millions astray from their godly identity in Christ. Heartbreaking.
But for those who take Jesus for who He is and ask to be filled by His godly Holy Spirit.....: divine life. Tangible presence of God, healings, demons running for cover, etc. Just as with His first 12+72 friends.
God will make you experience the full (godly) Life made possible through Holy Spirit.
So don't be afraid to leave islam. God can only be found in/through Jesus Christ.
Ask Him to fill you with His/God's Holy Spirit so He can guide you into truth and transform your life. You and God/Jesus are finally one again. He will open your eyes and give you Zoë (divine life). You will be growing into Him in all things. The life you see in Him and His first 12+72 friends.

Show us Muslims one single unambiguous or unequivocal statement in any version of the Bibles of your choice where Jesus himself says/admits,

"I'm God, worship Me?"

◾Many Christians quote this verse and they also quote john 10:31-33 to support their argument such as:
“Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him. Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shown you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me? The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God. “
The Christians stop at verse 33 and say that here Jesus claimed to be God and hence the jews started stoning him.
When we read the very next verse after john 10:33, Jesus Christ himself responds to to this misunderstanding of Jews (and some christians today).
Many Christians do not quote the next verse which gives jesus’s response to the jewish claim that he was claiming to be God, and in this verse jesus denies their accusation that he claimed to be god.
The jews accused jesus of claiming divinity and the christians also say that jesus was making this assertion and claim but jesus clearly denies this in John 10:34-36
◾Let’s see jesus’s response to their accusation.
John 10:34-36 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? 35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken; 36 Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemist; because I said, I am the Son of God?
In reply to the jews accusation Jesus replies by quoting Psalms 82:6 “I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.” In other words jesus is telling them that if your own book calls you as God , why are you accusing me when i only said i’m a son of god? You are called Gods n i’m only saying i’m a son of God.
Jesus says i’m only calling myself son of elohim where as you are called elohim and if jesus really claimed divinity, what other accusation do the jews need to kill him?? this is more than what they want, in fact there can be no reason greater than this, but rather they accuse him and condemn him because he claimed to be the messiah. The analogy is like a robber who robs a bank and also a coke tin and he is accused n imprisoned for the theft of the coke tin and not the bank robbery.
Moreover if jesus meant divinity by saying “i and the father are one” he would have used the word “heis” for “one” and not “hen”, the word in john 10.30 is “hen” which means one in purpose not in status or person.

The greek that is translated as “have a common purpose” is the same word “hen”

Jesus does not mean the oneness that the christian thinks because the greek is “hen estin” which means “one we are” or “we are one”
Also if you say that jesus is God because he said that he was one with the father, then his disciples are also Gods or are in God head just as jesus because jesus uses the word one, only once as pertaining to him and God but uses it 5 times in relating the disciples with God.

Is jesus praying that the 12 disciples including judas(the traitor) be taken into godhead? NO!!
He means that they may be one in purpose just as jesus and god are.

Many english translations translate verse 36 and have jesus refer to himself as “THE Son of God,” while in the greek text the definite article “the, i.e ho/thon” is absent , the greek has jesus calling himself as “A Son of God”, and not as “THE Son of God”. Refer to the ASV, ERV, NIV etc. which have excluded the word “the” or either its in brackets as in ASV. Now what can the translator do, to translate it correctly while not having jesus being called as “a” son?? they translate it as “i am god’s son”. Refer to NIV, ASV, DBY etc and YNG traslates it as “Son of God I am?”.

@ FACT: MY LORD AND MY GOD - An Examination of Doubting Thomas' statement
One of the most common passages that Trinitarians use in trying to prove that Jesus was God, comes from John 20:28, And in this passage the disciple Thomas supposedly says the following:
And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God (John 20:28)
So from this passage Christians conclude that Jesus must be God because Thomas called Jesus his Lord and God. On top of this they assert that the immediate context following John 20:28 shows that Jesus did not rebuke Thomas for his confession, rather Jesus accepted the confession, and blessed Thomas. From this they reason that if Jesus was not God, then he would have rebuked Thomas and corrected, however so he did no such thing therefore they assert that Jesus must be God.
For starters anyone who reads the Gospels in context will see that they clearly show that Jesus was not God, rather he was a prophet, and a Messiah. Furthermore on top of this, no where in the Gospels do any believers take Jesus as God, rather the believers always take Jesus to be a prophet, and Messiah.

So with all of that said let us now turn our attention to John 20:28, for the sake of convenience I re-quote the passage:
And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God (John 20:28)
As you all know, the Gospel of John was written in Greek, and when one consults the Greek language one will notice that the words for Lord and God are called KYRIOS and THEOS. So here is the passage quoted again, only this time the actual Greek words are placed in brackets right beside the English translation, and we read:
And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord (KYRIOS) and my God (GOD)
(John 20:28)
So doubting Thomas calls Jesus his KYRIOS and THEOS. Now if anyone has studied the New Testament, as well as the Septuagint, which is basically the Greek version of the Jewish Bible, then one will find out that these exact words are not exclusive for God alone, and that these two terms are applied to many men.
Strong's own Greek lexicon defines the Word KYRIOS as follows:
is a title of honour expressive of respect and reverence, with which servants greet their master
So one of the definitions of the term KYRIOS is a title of honour and respect, specifically a title of honour and respect given to a master by the servant. As we all know Jesus was a leader, he was the Messiah, a prophet, a judge, and the leader of his 12 disciples. Hence it would be no surprise for one of his disciple to call him KYRIOS, in fact this is what we would expect, and this indeed what we get.
So the fact is this, the term KYRIOS is not an exclusive Greek word to identify the almighty God. Furthermore as I said above, the term KYRIOS is used of other men besides Jesus, hence are we going to now claim that all of those who are called Lord must be God? Off course not.
Now let us move on to the word THEOS, Strong's lexicon translates the word THEOS a follows:
-God's representatives or vice-regents
-Magistrates and Judges
So again even the term THEOS does not exclusively have to refer to the almighty God, rather God's representatives can also be called THEOS, and the same applies for judges and magistrates. As we all know Jesus was God's representative, he was God's prophet, as well as his Messiah, so indeed Jesus was God's representative, and in that sense one can call Jesus a THEOS.
So the fact is this, Thomas calling Jesus his KYRIOS and THEOS in no absaloute way means he was calling Jesus his almighty God.
Throughout the Gospels Jesus always identifies himself as a prophet, a messiah, and the Son of God. Each one of these titles do not denote divinity, hence we can confidently say that when Jesus was called KYRIOS and THEOS it was not a reference to any divinity, but a reference to his honourable position as a leader, and as a prophet.
Moving on, if one reads the Greek Bible one will learn that many people are called THEOS, the devil himself is called THEOS in 2nd Corinthians 4:4, we read:
In whom the god (THEOS) of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not
So the devil himself is called THEOS, should we all bow and worship satan now? Obviously not! On top of this Moses himself is called a THEOS, and so are the Jewish judges found in the book of Psalms. Yet nobody is going to claim that these people are the almighty true God, and that we should start worshiping them!
So the simple fact is this, in no shape or form is Jesus the almighty God for being called KYRIOS and THEOS. We know from the context of the four Gospels that in no way do these terms refer to a divinity; rather they refer to his prophet hood, and him being The Messiah.

Now the above explanation I gave is simply one interpretation you could take, which is that if Thomas was really speaking to Jesus, then it still would not make Jesus God, yet this is not the only interpretation one could take.
Another very easy interpretation is that when Thomas said My Lord and My God, he was not actually referring to Jesus. One must not forget the context of this chapter, Thomas as we all know is called ?Doubting' Thomas, his faith was greatly shaken, because he believed Jesus to be the prophet, and the Messiah. He knew the Messiah could not die as a false prophet, rather the Messiah would destroy his enemies, and usher in his kingdom, and bring in an age of peace, obviously this did not happen, and Jesus was supposedly killed off, so Thomas was greatly shaken.
Now some others were starting to claim that Jesus was alive, and not dead, yet Thomas DOUBTED (hence the name doubting Thomas) this, he did not believe them. Yet Jesus eventually comes right infront of Thomas for Thomas to see the proof that he is alive, and Thomas is astonished, Jesus is not dead, God has saved Jesus, Thomas' faith has been saved, so in a moment of happiness and joy Thomas goes on to praise God and says ?My Lord and My God'.
Now some Christians say well no Jew would say God's name in vain, for starters I am not saying Thomas said God's name in vain, so do not attack straw man, I am saying that Thomas was joyful, happy, and he was PRAISING GOD.
Christians may reply back and say but Thomas was speaking TO JESUS, that Thomas SAID TO JESUS My Lord and My God. This does not mean much, many times people talk to each other, and say Thank God, or Praise God. In fact this is very common for the Muslims, often times when the Muslims are talking each other they say Alhamdurillah, obviously no one is going to say that one Muslims is referring to the other Muslim as God!
So this explanation is yet another interpretation that one could take, the interpretation that one can never take, is that Thomas thought that Jesus was the almighty God, that is the interpretation that will never add up, nor fit the context.
