I totally agree and used to be so sure of that for myself because I respect myself too much to stay with someone who doesn’t value me. BUT. But...every once in a while, a relationship, a person, might be worth investing in after the most horrendous mistakes. This man could be truly sorry and ashamed of his mistakes. People who are insecure cheat. It clearly has nothing to do with the person they are cheating on (in most cases) I have been cheated on and I have cheated. If someone feels the person they are with is too good for them they find a way to make their ego feel better. Jana is clearly the better looking one, probably the bread winner, and seems like the more attractive one all around in the relationship.
I think what a lot of people can miss, especially if you don’t listen to Jana’s Podcast (Whine Down), they both had issues with cheating in previous relationships. They both explained how, from day one, they had both cheated on previous partners and didn’t want their relationship to end up that way. He did stray in the worst way, but she explained she had like a ‘damnit’ moment, where she wanted to fight for her family and she saw that fight within Mike. Believe me, my husband and I have always said, ‘I stray, don’t take me back. I’m not worthy,’ but until you’re in it yourself, you won’t be able to fully understand or fathom what other couples go through dealing with infidelity. I applaud them in being so vocal about their struggles and being able to help so many couples out there. It’s about communication and ownership. That what they’re trying to get people to understand. Check out the Whine Down podcast, Jana really has great conversation and they both open up so much. Even if you haven’t dealt with infidelity in your relationship, they help you to understand that keeping that open line of communication really can make all the difference, if you can see it for yourself. I love Jana but what frustrates me is that a lot of younger girls look up to her and doing segments like these sends out the message that you should forgive and forget being cheated on. It's such a selfish and disrespectful thing to do especially to the person you love the most. Forgiveness is beautiful as well, it allows people to heal. So for her to forgive is so much more inspiring and shows so much more strength than just walking away and getting a divorce. People who are insecure cheat. It clearly has nothing to do with the person they are cheating on (in most cases) I have been cheated on and I have cheated. If someone feels the person they are with is too good for them they find a way to make their ego feel better. Jana is clearly the better looking one, probably the bread winner, and seems like the more attractive one all around in the relationship.
I think what a lot of people can miss, especially if you don’t listen to Jana’s Podcast (Whine Down), they both had issues with cheating in previous relationships. They both explained how, from day one, they had both cheated on previous partners and didn’t want their relationship to end up that way. He did stray in the worst way, but she explained she had like a ‘damnit’ moment, where she wanted to fight for her family and she saw that fight within Mike. Believe me, my husband and I have always said, ‘I stray, don’t take me back. I’m not worthy,’ but until you’re in it yourself, you won’t be able to fully understand or fathom what other couples go through dealing with infidelity. I applaud them in being so vocal about their struggles and being able to help so many couples out there. It’s about communication and ownership. That what they’re trying to get people to understand. Check out the Whine Down podcast, Jana really has great conversation and they both open up so much. Even if you haven’t dealt with infidelity in your relationship, they help you to understand that keeping that open line of communication really can make all the difference, if you can see it for yourself.
