its a combination. just use every information you can get. the internet is full of it, you just need to explore it :D but i know what you mean, sometimes thats harder than said. i think i started out by visiting isratrance production forum frequently. lots of information there and the people are friendly. other than that just search for tutorials on google or here on yt. compare your structure to the strcuture of tracks you like. maybe even try to rebuild a track u like so u get a feel for it

I think Audacity will do this. I use an old app called Goldwave. Set it to record from "what you hear" in the record options, hit record then play whatever you like from your computer.

I just want to inform you that there's a better music production program called Cubase (you probably know it already). You need to try it for my opinion, It will take your music to a whole new level. hi. thanks for the offer. but most of those "presets" are heavily changed and modulated. theres almost nothing left of the initial preset sound. it shows only the name of the presets in the synthesizers coz i search for something similar to what i want in first place.
