Depending on what software you're using will change how you need to set it up. There is a good tutorial on TH-cam from someone who shows how to set it up with lightburn. You're probably having issues because the engraver is trying to home itself and you need to turn that setting off. Always save your normal, non rotary settings before changing anything, so you can go back to them at any time.

..Im stuck at step1, around :22 , because the lock nut does NOT fit the M5 screw!

because the LOCKNUTS (what they call M5 Elastic Washer) aren't used until Step 9 (3:52).
