After exploring Bicol, we opted for alternative routes on our return to Manila, avoiding main roads and buses. We considered scenic coastal, inland through Quezon Province, Each offered unique landscapes and cultural experiences, making our journey back more memorable and relaxed.
During our stay at Tiama Legacy Rest Stop located at Km 228 Maharlika Highway, Calauag, Quezon (4318), we found it to be a highly recommended rest stop for travelers like ourselves. What particularly surprised and delighted us was the presence of a chapel and a beautifully maintained/preserved garden within the rest stop premises. These features not only enhanced the tranquil atmosphere but also provided us with a glimpse into historical times, evoked by the presence of an old house nestled amidst the serene garden setting. It was a refreshing and memorable experience, blending modern convenience with a touch of cultural and historical charm.
