I am not much of a fan of honeydews but I am a big fan of cantaloupes. I have two problems with cantaloupes I buy in my local store. They're usually big size and green on the outside. It means that they are not ripe with their full sweetness and flavor. Rarely I find any yellow color on the outside but, I still have to leave in a warm environment close to my stove for a few days to get it a bit ripe before I eat it. A couple years back during winter months came some small yellow skin color cantaloupes from Guatemala. Can't say enough how delicious, juicy, sweet and flavorful they were. Wish cantaloupes grown in US were of the same quality. Doing business and making money in the food industry is fine and we appreciate it the service but with respect to us consumers so that we also can eat foods of proper quality for the money we pay.
