    Hey 🎅Thank you so much for this explanation, it worked up like a charm 🤗 I ended up doing the two-chain picot, but with a folded over brim and a much longer tail (basically until I ran out of yarn)
    In case anyone else also wants to do a double rim: I used a starting chain of 20, 1 to turn, *1 regular singular chrochet, 8 backloop picots, 1 regular single crochet, 8 backloop picots, 1 regular single chrochet, chain one and turn, and go back doing 1 single chrochet, 8 backloop single crochets, 1 regular single crochet ,8 backloop single chrochets and 1 regular single crochets, chain one and turn* and repeat *-* until it's long enough.
    In order to attach my starting chain and my last row, I followed the video again.
    The middle single crochet is where it's folded and the ones on both ends get attached to each other using a row of single crochets going through both ends.
    Sorry for the long explainer, but I love the result 💖 and wanted to share and say thank you ✨

    So I just finished watching the whole video, was doing other stuff too, and when you 1st mentioned doing 78 rows of picot stitches, I was like No way, that'll take way too long! Then I saw the end result, and yeah I will be making the brim with the picot stitches! Well worth it. I've seen several Santa hats on TH-cam and I haven't seen any like this! ❤️

    Oh dear, what have you done to me! I wore this hat on Christmas day to my daughter's house and I've got three orders so far, obviously it was a great success. Thank you so much, hope you had a lovely Christmas and that you have a happy New Year.

    Very sorry to hear you are having med problems and hope they don't last too long!
    I've never seen picots used the way you did in this hat. Very ingenious! Love it! This "brim" would look really nice on the previous fancier Santa hat that you made! Thanks for sharing! Feel better soon. 😉

      @@ItsNotKnit I just pulled up your boho Santa hat tutorial and I was wrong when I said this brim would be great on the boho Santa hat! The brim on the boho Santa hat is what makes it so special! Choices, choices, choices...😉

    I love this! Will this pattern work making less rows on the brim for a toddler hat?

  • @michaelholbrook4401
    @michaelholbrook4401 หลายเดือนก่อน

    My lamb's wool effect will be 2 2-chain pico(sp?) at the start and end of each row, and 3-chain picos(sp?) in between. Hopefully that will round it out a bit.
