I agree with you entirely @FN-hg2el. I can sense his level of frustration and l feel for him too coz he speaks from a level of consciousness which most Ugandans are not at yet. We talk a lot but our level of awareness, ability to reflect,analyze, mobilise and unify for a common cause is still wanting in many respects.
We are still thinking in selfish tribal terms and personal aggrandizement at the expense of the Republic/country.
Secondly I feel for him too coz he was let down badly by the powers that be. He thought he was fighting for a genuine cause in the bush only to be rudely shocked that the people he fought with had a different agenda altogether ('Akashu') and they knew Ugandans were naive.Knowing Ugandans psyche and culture very well they organized themselves militarily, terrorized the north for 20yrs and the south was a foregone conclusion due to it's submissive and timid culture.
So at the risk of sounding kind of pessimistic, I think Dr Besigye's quest maybe a long time coming.
People are still hoping for a 'Saviour' either from heaven or elsewhere but not themselves.
