Reminder right at the start , I'd forgotten just how bad LC mirrors were at staying tight . Got sick of them so just took them off , never to be put back on .
This is completely true. It can lead to high combustion temperatures and should be avoided. Its such a long time ago I think I did it as I wasnt sure the pupe was working. I havent fdone it since
Aaargh, that explains a lot- I will get it changed over. I bought the bike as a bit of a wreck.. so photographed it and rebuilt it as found... obviously incorrectly. If you have a photo of what it should look like that would be awesome. I am working on a rd125lc mk3 for my middle son which we just bought for 1100 GBP. I have a 400f + Rd50m which we do father/son rides; plan A to do the same with Rd350lc/Rd125lc....fingers crossed
Is it the oil light, is that not the one further up. To be honest I can't remember... The bikes are coming out for a first run soon so I will check it out; many thanks
@@neilparry14 awesome. I remember first start on mine. In the garage with the door closed as convinced it wasn't going to start but wanted to kick it over ready for next day....second kick... took me so much by surprise I actually hit the kill switch.
I’ve just had a call to say my exhausts are on their way, eta next Wednesday. So I expect that the weekend after next will be my first attempt to start it! Hopefully it’ll start as easily as yours.....

@@neilparry14 Mine is on microns, I did have a set of originals but sold them. What are you fitting?
I have an RD50 with homemade micron and over sized carb; I reckon I could give you a run for you're money on it
I reckon you talk shit, as a funky moped will be any where close to a 350lc.. You got one chance & thats not a chance..
