Cool! How many hours work must they have put into those engines hey? Check out my photo slideshow of some of my favourite places in Dorset at my Channel! How many views do you recognise?
The engines used for heavy steam haulage are very strong but not even very fast. The police escort will protect the engines and the load from stupid modern cardrivers trying to overtake ! ;-) ... No it´s for traffic matters !
Absolutely fantastic! Thank you so much for sharing this with us! In Switzerland, we never had heavy haulage with steam engines!
Great stuff!..... I just love steam traction.... thanks for posting
At this time we were getting ready to leave New Zealand on our way to the GDSF. Can't believe it's been three years already!
Thank you. Also I want to tell you I like steam engines mechanics very much.

@MarciusJV 8-10 mph althought there were some McClarens recorded as fast as 17 mph
that is a good Run,vodos :D
I bet they get stuck easy when its raining unless on a gravel road or black top.
nice bit of clag!
Brilliant
So you wanna be a player but your wheels ain't fly...
these are british models so they go faster but american made one hardly ever break 8mph but can oull like no other
What is a maximum speed of one of these steam engines?
