i may be wrong and just bought this case. front fan bracket is on wrong, also you dont have to remove the post to install that bracket, if you flip it the bracket is flush with the face
I kinda wish you had linked the review of the original so I can check out your use of the included riser cable. It's pretty straightforward but I'm curious why these risers don't need to be powered like all the risers I've seen on mining computers.
I considered flipping the side fans to give the air flow a more logical layout but decided not to purely for aesthetics and RGB. With the open chassis and a Core i5 the air flow isn't an issue. Leo
thats a very good looking PC Leo - would you use the case yourself for a build? im always curious to know if its something the people build in it would keep.
Can you measure distance of mounting holes on glass panel? Or compare it with the glass panel from previous P3? The dimensions of TG Pro are different than normal P3 but did they change glass panel? I'm asking because I have P3 Curved Edition and i I love the look of curved glass and that I can use it as a "roof" to prevent from falling dust especially when PC i off. So I was wondering if i buy TG Pro i can use my old curved glass panel. Thank you and I'm looking forward for the replay. Cheers!
@@KitGuruTech Thank you for reply. So they changed it. On old panel there is 44cm center to center of hole, or 46cm from beginning of one hole to end of second. Maybe next year they will do refresh with curved edition 🙏
This might be the first time i seen someone use that AIO in a build. Seems like Everyone rather pay a extra $100 for the NZXT Z73 for some reason to get the LCD display. I wonder why...
So what about fan noise of PSU? Just got a 1350W unit. And it's fan is either off or very loud. It produces more noise than the whole system with 4090.
@@KitGuruTech Yes. ToughPower GF3 1350W. i also chat with other owners of 1200w and 1350w models, they behave pretty similar - feels like there is no fan curve for them. they only OFF or ON. So i think are retail units not the same as the test one TT sending to youtubers, or have we got some bad batch.
@@haremofprocessors6954 does it sound like this one? th-cam.com/video/NQHgfW1Acrs/w-d-xo.html it also switches on and off all the time depending on wattage. you know wattage jumps up and down ingame 300-500W with 4090 cards. so it is not a constant noise what makes it even more disturbing
I skipped past pricing in the video but put it on the page. £170 is the answer www.kitguru.net/components/cases/leo-waldock/thermaltake-core-p3-pro-build-extra-tough
Its' deja vu all over again! TUF build from James; Tough from Leo.... I said of James' build the case was Thermaltackyesque too, i.e the execution of the basic good design was a little half-arsed! Can't think of a theme but again I think the show case would benefit from a custom loop. The AIO and GPU are a bit meh! methinks. Low-effort content: B+. Mesh - whatever happened to them?
Thermaltake are very hit and miss for me, for everyone of these cases they release, they churn out 4 terrible ones. but at least they prove they can still do something good as we head into 2023
Unfortunately, I was silly enough to buy this case based on the misleading claims by thermaltake including this reviewer. The case will not accept a 420 arctic liquid freezer II AIO in the front or top panels. It can only be installed in the side panel. Once installed there, it will block the front panel from accepting another AIO. Pretty design but garbage level engineering and misleading sales pitch too. Will never deal with thermaltake again
This is the third video I watched and it ended up being the most help. Thank you.
Wall mount is a fantastic idea, more case manufacturers should offer it.
quality video leo, thats quite the showcase for thermaltake. hopefully they send you a nice mug for christmas
A nice abrasive Leo review for Friday afternoon thank you guys.
Leo thats a stunning build - I think this might be my new chassis for next year, once I can get a new GPU at a good price. if ever.
I have one of these, its absolutely brilliant. id recommend one to anyone who wants something a bit different
i may be wrong and just bought this case. front fan bracket is on wrong, also you dont have to remove the post to install that bracket, if you flip it the bracket is flush with the face
thats one of the best cases ive seen in recent years. very well done
It's more of a chassis than a case.
Leo makes it look so easy.
That looks gorgeous. A beautiful job, Leo.
yeah its sold me on the case, one of the best thermaltake cases ive seen in years
thats a heck of a lot of RGB there, Interesting to see Leo seemed quite enamoured with it at the end - maybe changing your ways ?
Mellowing as Christmas approaches
Leo is always so busy moving stuff around in his videos with lots of gesticulation puts you in mind of Tony Hart.
I like how this chasis doubles as a test bench
yeah I like that about it too. might get a bit dusty mind you
yeah it does, would be very practical in some ways
Leo showing James, whatever you can do, I can at least get close !
That's kind of you but James is next level (or next next level)
Leo
Really well specced build, looks really good.
thats a cracking looking build that Leo, its a really attractive chassis from thermaltake too. im surprised to say
Seeing a lot of builds with this colour combination lately think it looks better than black especially since it reflects the RGB better.
Oh how I have missed a "Leo" video!!
It looks very nice! I have one question. Is the airflow going inside at booth fans (radiator fan and normal fans)?
I kinda wish you had linked the review of the original so I can check out your use of the included riser cable. It's pretty straightforward but I'm curious why these risers don't need to be powered like all the risers I've seen on mining computers.
Hmm, a very Tough build!
nice build. in which way is your airflow (and temps are good for you)?
would like to build a new system into this case next year. its pretty in white
Thanks!
Great video! Just wondering will this case support sfx power supply?
Can you mount a physical hard drive sideways or is it going to put wear on it?
best case out there. I have the original and won't be changing it. looking at your build the 3 front mounted fans are pointless.
why are they pointless?
Not sure id say they are pointless, but i get your point. if you get the pun.
I considered flipping the side fans to give the air flow a more logical layout but decided not to purely for aesthetics and RGB. With the open chassis and a Core i5 the air flow isn't an issue.

thats a very good looking PC Leo - would you use the case yourself for a build? im always curious to know if its something the people build in it would keep.
I personally use one of Lian Li's O11 cases (Mini, from memory). It is under my desk so an open chassis would make no sense
Leo
Is a push-pull configuration possible?
Anyone else have trouble mounting the 1200w asus thorpower supply? The psu bracket is to small?

Square pattern for the holes, 47cm centres.

The Toughliquid is a very good cooler, the software needs a bit of work though
Think a vertical GPU would have been nice to see.
are these fans quiet?
Looks like the front panel is on the wrong way.

nice job am due upgrade after xmas
Good build looks very clean, even though Leo is always really cross.
Leo isn't really cross. He's just British... 😁
It comes in kit form. Better get a guru to help with it. A kit guru, if you will...
So what about fan noise of PSU? Just got a 1350W unit. And it's fan is either off or very loud. It produces more noise than the whole system with 4090.
Is your PSU also a ToughPower GF3? I didn't notice the fan noise in this 1200W unit

Six fans seems a bit overkill especially with liquid cooling too.
No-one is suggesting it is necessary, this is just a bit of fun with maximum RGB
Leo
How much is this case? I must have missed it.

www.kitguru.net/components/cases/leo-waldock/thermaltake-core-p3-pro-build-extra-tough
I'd have loved to see a TUF mobo and gpu thrown in with all that "Tough" stuff. Surprised nobody at TT cares that there's a potential conflict there.
would dust not be a massive issue with this case ? surely thats one of the big downpoints.
Yes indeed. Really good filters effectively kill airflow so it is always a compromise but this chassis is at one extreme end of the scale
Leo
Why not pair the core i5 with Nvidia?
Well of course you can!
How did thermaltake make tough and Asus make Tuf…
thats a stunning looking system there. would probably put AMD in it, but i know thats not the point for this video.
I tend to review Intel so have a stack of their CPUs hence Core i5

Like Leo HATE RGB (Ruins Goods Builds) skip
Leo is really AMD fanboy
You appreciate this PC uses an Intel CPU rather than AMD?
Leo
Thats some seriously desirable kit.
I can't stand anything made by Thermaltake. In the past it was all crap.
