Thank you for your excellent reaction.Amira sang this rendition an octave higher than Julie Andrew's, a truly amazing achievement, for someone only fifteen years old.To me Amira really comes into her own, when she is backed by a full orchestra. If she doesn't strain her voice and retains that bell like quality, the music and the clarity of her voice stays with us... and keeps that memory of the sound resonating in the mind, heart and soul. She is so young to be pushing her voice like this, I really pray she does not strain her voice because retaining that sound with her lungs still being young now is working, but retaining that clarity is she grows older my not be as easy. To keep it fresh she'll need that sound into her 30's, 40's and 50's.... and I don't want to see her loose this talent due to over working her voice too early in her career. No one knows what the future holds, I want to see Amira's career last as long as she wants it to.
Yeah, she was 15 in 2019. She has sung others from Sound of music, think it must be a real favourite of hers. She did a couple of pieces at her 19th birthday concert, wearing the same blue Bavarian dress. She's also knocked off a couple of home made videos in her back garden. None of these is on YT though. One thing about these big productions - at least the sound quality is good. At some of the smaller venues, the recording systems aren't so hot. Great reaction Rory, even though SoM probably isn't your go to style of music.

18'th birthday concerts
Amira's biggest orchestra backing was with Andre Rieu. Can't remember if you played that one (12,000+ audience). She's 15 here.
