Grew up in NC but my roots are from West TN (the counties surrounding Memphis) so I def saw a lot of folks jookin when I would go visit family. The footwork is def unique. Great video for beginners

Dawg, I been tryna learn to Jook by someone who know the actual culture for a min. The main things I was needing was the shuffles!! This shit helped man. Keep makin these. Like 8-10 min clips of one move break down would be dope too cause that way peeps can reference.

Great teaching bro, I'm damn near too old to even try this sh!t myself but I love the culture. I'm also a Texan that see it as even more impressive that you're able to teach at such a high level considering you're from a state over. Of course you won't please everyone and the hate is what let's you know you're doing something right. If it was wrong, folks would just let you make a fool out of yourself lol...Mad Respect, you got my youngsters in here dancing they azz off. Appreciate it King, KEEP TEACHING. Salute from Texas and shout out to Memphis as well...dopest dance style out there. I'm sure they see it like I do, nothing but love for the dance style and wanting to introduce it to more people, while giving Memphis full credit like you did. Hell, I just recently learned of the style since I'm new to editing and love editing different types of videos, upload a shorts vid recently of some Memphis Jookin(removing the original music) totaly unaware of the culture and put a rap beat to it. I now know better, and that the music plays a MAJOR part in the dance style like you mentioned, it has a certain "bounce" to it. I'll probably remove it if it offends any of my Memphis brothers/sisters...I just thought the dance was so dope. Now I find myself binge watching MEMPHIS Jookin videos which is what lead me here lol.
