Thanks for the video. I hope old mate is up to date with his Tetanus jabs.
We have just had our house slab poured in SE QLD. The concrete sub-contractor left glass beer bottles literally all over the site afterwards. I'm happy they had a beer after a hard day's work but glass bottles littered everywhere is a safety issue. And who do they think is going to pick them all up? You guessed it, me - the home owner.
I'd love to know your thoughts on this.
Personally when I go around to someone's home and have a beer, I don't throw empty bottles all around their home. Supposedly this is the behaviour of professionals.
Which is odd because I work with big contractors on multi-mullion dollar projects. And when I go onto a $200 million road project site, do you think they'd let me toss beer bottles around the site? How much work do you think I'd get after I did that? And that's just a road - not someone's home.
Let's not pretend this sort of thing a one off. I've had subcontractors trespass and dig up lawns and all sorts of things to demonstrate how much they care about other people. This sort of thing is fairly common when the sub-contractor is working for a project home builder.
I'd love to hear your thoughts on this because it is widespread here in QLD as far as I can see.

That’s normal for Aussie tradies lol & screw that damn jab. Don’t need that sh*t brother. You have it

But I agree with you. You’re absolutely right. Respect though is not apart of the Australian Tradies culture lol let’s be real. All of Melbourne is like that once they’re done. Only if your parents teach you from young how to Respect then will that young man grow up to respect. But it happens & it shouldn’t.

I'm glad the driver finally pulled up a bit there at the end... would have drove me nuts lol...do you guys ever use come-alongs to pull mud or just shovels?

do you also make concrete floors inside? what technology is overseas, because in Europe the semi-dry concrete method is popular, similar to the production of concrete slabs in the factory - unfortunately, the quality is a bit poor due to the inaccuracy of contractors - but the method is quite fast and light

People have no appreciation for just how difficult pulling the straightedge is especially when you have guys raking behind you that want to stand and talk! You said that the time was 5:00. AM or PM?? It looks like PM to me.

Help!!! My contractor poured my concrete and exposed the aggregate like asked but now 3 days later. It has a milky white residue on all the new aggregate. How can I remove the residue? I’m assuming it’s the cream on top that didn’t get washed throughly.

Washing it off is very important maybe just use acid and wash it a couple of times over a week
