Yeah he got it late but never late that's why Islam fight and volk didn't went the way we wanted it but the way khabib and Dana wanted it and that's the reason they didn't promote it well and khabib didn't show up, and that's why Islam keeping the fight on the feets as much as possible and took some damage and went to decision

However, I'm happy for him. Injury risk skyrockets after 30, and recovery becomes worse. The warranty is until 30, as they say.
He retired at the top and put his health and his family before fame and money, and he's going to have a long and happy life, barring unforeseen events.

@@acedup00 He took a lot of damage in training though. Heavy grappling training is hard on the body. It wrecks the major joints, knees especially, and the spine. This is why most retired grapplers go overweight - they can’t exercise much. That’s what I meant when I said retirement was good for his health. He would’ve stayed for another several years at the top, but he would have received a lot of joint damage for the rest of his life.
