I took my young nephew out on my Ninja 650 yesterday, he's only been on a bike once before, but we rode along at around 80mph and the wind made us ride around 20' in a straight line for a few yards, it was scary, but fun. The wind must have been gusting to 45mph here in Warks
I was riding over the queen Elizabeth bridge on Saturday from Essex to Kent in this wind. Crazy indeed.
Riding from Rushden to Olney, spent more time leaning in the straights than around the corners haha
Come upto the North Pennines and you'll know what it's like riding in wind.
Scary at times but nothing compared to riding in the hurricane of 1990,i had no choice as i had no other way to get to work and that ride was the most terrifying ten mile ride of my life.
It was as if the wind literally picked the bike and me up and dumped us on the opposite side of the road many times over, thankfully the road was clear.
i disagree. wind is the worst thing on a bike, have you ever been on a bike on the motorway in a gale force side wind, it's horrific! Especially going past lorries, where it sucks you in as you pass, then blasts you outwards as you reach the lorry's 'bow wave' then you get the full sideways force of the wind, which will be all or nothing as you pass hedges or walls or other traffic.....nah...I hate the wind, even after almost 30 years of daily riding
I'm about to fit a Puig double bubble to my CBR1000RR as a lot of people have recommended them. Looks like they do ones for CBR600F too. Wasn't sure on the year of your bike but I'm guessing pre 2000 as you mentioned it's not an injection model.
Edit : looks like they don't go back that far sadly.
@@RR.FUSION The other brand I've seen mentioned are Zero Gravity and they do make a screen for your model/year
agree with the potholes, round me you could turn it into a lazy spa its that big and every attempt to fix it just ends with it coming back after a month at most. They just don't want to shut down the roads and pay the money to have resurfacing done because most council are bankrupt or near it. Just utter tripe that this country is milking the hard workers and laughing in our faces whilst they spend £100 daily allowances for food and drinks. But on the subject of wind you were a brave man riding in that I've seen bikers get blown into ditches and come off with less wind. Glad you got back in one piece.
speed cameras are turned off in northamptonshire so no need to slow down for them 👍🏻
Words I always live by always treat speed cameras as they are on and you will never get a ticket
@@lucid_doj84 I dont blow through them I just dont watch my speed like fusion did
i was in this on my 50 aha, i was getting blown about like a balloon.
@@RR.FUSION Yeah 🤣 i could feel myself slowing down as my 50 couldnt handle the wind haha, cant wait to do my mods or even get on a 125
@@xZenoRides maybe a little, going up a hill at 15mph while getting blown about wasn't the best 😂
@@xZenoRidessame I was on my r125 and I went round a corner and it started pushing me into oncoming lanes most terrifying ride of my life
The wind was the reason I stayed off the bike and went to the pub this weekend!
Fair 😂
