I’m in the PNW. We ride at Capital Forest and Lewis and Clark, as well as various other trails. At parks bicyclist’s have bells on thier bikes. Many with dogs also have bells. For the most part they’ve all been courteous and step aside.

My other guess is Almaden. Anyway I ride trails when I can, don't own yet but maybe some day...love your advice and positive vibe!❤

I never ask if their dog is ok with horses. I straight up tell them my horse has killed dogs before. No need to tell them it was in pasture and not on trails. It's safer for everyone if they avoid contact with my horse. Reason is she has fought with predators most of her life and is not afraid of them. She's my 2 ton donkey.
Oh man we would love that. I’ve heard nothing but amazing things. Although between the pandemic and Yellowstone I’m afraid Montana may not want more starry-eyed Californians? 😆 I hear Idaho is annoyed already.

Our belgium draft is a big boy n yep everything with him is more but not a lot, but he does step heavier n is all gentle but spoiled..lol
