Hi, Thank you for watching, this video was re-uploaded several times due to small data errors within the benchmark section. I have performed new test for transparency. Thank you for the viewers who brought it to my attention. Again I apologize for the errors. The data in the video is the most up to date and accurate.
The best ITX build video I’ve seen? And I’ve seen a lot. Why? Simply because the camera angles and commentary allow us to easily see and visualize everything you did and how you laid everything out.
Great build! It might be a be annoying to put together but would be nice to have the 3D printed addition to the top just be the parts on the side so you’re still able to have the stock T1 top panel.
I did and it was 1 or 2 degrees cooler but not worth picking up two or buying one just for the bottom airflow. I can see if you wanted extra storage and want to use one fan for M.2 cooling.
Excellent video! Any chance you could drop those cable lengths of the custom cables? It was the only information I was missing in the video or description text to make me more confident before placing my own order of those blue delights right now.
For the T1, I have 350mm (35cm) for the 12VHPWR GPU cable, 150mm (15cm) for 24-Pin motherboard cable and 300mm (30cm) for the EPS (CPU) cable. I will most this information in the description, Thanks for the support and feedback.
@@Bigheadedwon very true. These measurements may work but it’s a good idea to research the placement of the 24-pin, eps and other cables you plan to use. I’m using the MSI B650i Edge Wifi.
The decals on the VRM heatsink was just basic paint, not sure the official name but sinuses 100% acetone based nail polish remover and a cotton swab. The M.2 fan/heatsink is just a piece of acrylic with adhesive. You can remove that with a hair dryer or heat gun
@@seanpaul211 I believe he should remove the cooler. Ensure there is enough paste, also ensure the film isn’t on the cold plate. When reinstalling, fasten the screws down in a X pattern, 2 full turns until it’s fastened. It’s not within spec for any AM5 chip to idle at 80c, even with a 47mm low profile cooler.
100% acetone nail polish for the VRM shroud, the m.2 decals can be taken off with heat as it’s just acrylic. Use the acetone and cotton pads (not cotton balls). Let the soaked cotton pads sit on the area for 1-2 minutes and repeat until all of the pair is gone. It’ll look like you’re done but repeat again once it’s dry as there will be some residue remaining.
I am not an expert on this however, how ever optimum tech made a video covering making custom cables if that’s what you mean. Or do you mean if I could help with sourcing pre made custom cables?
@@batir4ik probably the easiest place is Mod DIY. You’ll need to input your PSU make and model when you order cables. I only need 3 cables, 12VHPWR for GPU, EPS for the processor and 24-pin for the motherboard. If you have other accessories like hard drives, SATA, etc then you’d have to choose those as well. You’re looking at 20-40$ a cable depending on length. There are some vendors on ETSY that people vouch for. In this link they’re discussing cable lengths for the T1 www.reddit.com/r/FormD/s/okXDStn2Kx
@@chehsuntao I’ve covered it recently in my CH160 review, but to save some time, CPU/EPS 300mm or 30cm, 12VHPWR GPU 350mm or 35cm and 24-pin 150mm or 15cm. I hope this helps!
So in this video the case was in 3 slot mode but recently I moved it to 3.25 slot and uninstalled the PSU standoffs because they don’t fit in 3.25 slot mode.

I really appreciate the kind words!
The custom psu cables matches the color of the pcie riser is pretty sweet.
It was apart of the plan, wish they made these risers in other transparent colors
Great stuff brother! More success will come. Keep up this great work!
The switch effect from the monitor to the video recording looked nice!
One day I’ll master that technique lol Just trying new things. Thanks!
dude this is so cool i love what u did with the motherboard definitely will do this with my next build
Thanks, I had to try and mod it for a more simple look
Very cool build and thorough explanation of what you did.
For a moment there I thought you were DJ Akademiks.
Not AK smh lol Thanks
great build. I can't wait to start my ITX build.
Good luck! Hopefully you post the results in the SFFPC, FormD and FormDT1 sub reddit or discord.

Great build! Did you test it with the T grill at the bottom? Two slim fans could fit.
I did and it was 1 or 2 degrees cooler but not worth picking up two or buying one just for the bottom airflow. I can see if you wanted extra storage and want to use one fan for M.2 cooling.
Thank you so much for making this video
You are so welcome!
Awesome video quality, stumbled upon your video and thought you had way more subs lol
Amazing build
Working on it. I’ve had the channel for about 2 months
Thank you!
Fantastic! How did you strip the decals on the motherboard?
I used 100% acetone nail polish and cotton pads.
@@chrisrussellca Awesome! I have a KXRORS S400 case I want to strip the paint from, to match the brushed aluminum front panel I/O. :)
Good luck!

For anyone who will be ordering custom cables and reads this. If you have a different motherboard the lengths of his cables might not be right.

I plan on printing this top hat. What printing material did you use
I’ve had two. One in PETG which broke and in PLA that broken and started to soften and warped due to heat.
How did you remove the decals on the motherboard? Were they just stickers? It makes it look so clean, manufactures need to take note

I have an identical build except a 7950x3d and a id 47xt cpu cooler. I’ve been getting temps of 80 celcius under no load. Thoughts for fixes?
-25 pbo, set ppt at 75w to start
80 under no load.. that sounds like a direct cooling issue not sure much about setting.
The CPU cooler need to set properly and had thermal paste...

would this top panel mod fit on the v2.5 version for formdt1?
I believe so, but I can’t guarantee as I don’t own a v2.5

which m3 standoff u used on the psu? length i meant? TIA!
I’m not sure but the stand off I used came with the cases there’s two left over if you build the 3.25 slot option.
What song did you use during the benchmarks?
Its called "Shooting at the Moon" by The Runaway Club
Could you help me with custom cables for lian li sp850? also for t1 v2.1

what wifi antennas are you using?
These are stock antennas that come with the MSI B650i Edge Wifi board.

It’s not as practical but if you have the means and the desire I don’t see why not.
does it make sense to install psu stand offs if you are in 3.25 mode?

Did the msi mobo give you any issues?
Other than the DDR5 training in AM5, it’s decent
No air cooler
I have several videos covering air coolers in the T1.
None so far with the T-30s on top.
b six fiddy gang
I would remove this aio from the build… theres is too much hot air going through this top vents
You mind… you just decided to ignore it
Pardon?
