SCP-1048 is a small teddy bear, approximately 33 cm in height. Through testing, composition of the subject revealed no unusual qualities that make it discernible from a non-sapient teddy bear. Subject is capable of moving of its own accord, and can communicate through a small range of gestures. The subject regularly shows affection to individuals in ways found endearing by most people. Affection is usually given in the form of a hug to the lower leg, but subject has also been observed dancing, jumping in place, and in two separate events it has even drawn child-like pictures for janitorial staff.
The more anomalous behavior of SCP 1048 was not observed until approximately 7 months after it was originally secured. It is hypothesized that the subject is able to construct crude replicas of itself using various materials, by a process that has yet to be observed directly by Foundation staff. Dr. Carver has suggested that SCP-1048 uses its endearing qualities to lull those around it in to a false sense of security, allowing it to collect materials to produce these creations. Currently, there are 3 known creations of SCP1048 , designated SCP-1048-A, SCP-1048-B, and SCP-1048-C. The nature of these creations has been in stark contrast to SCP-1048's general behavior, as all have exhibited extreme violence towards humans.

SCP 2295 is the sweetest thing. I always remember the part of it coming into contact with a terminal patient with wide spread cancer, having even reached the brain. It tried to come up with various replacement organs, but after a while it just gave up and hugged the patient. There was nothing it could do but be comforting in their final moments.
It even gave him a chocolate bar to try and cheer him up. Truly SCP 2295 is too pure for our reality.
And then there’s his evil brothers, SCP-1048😅
Poor agent Kobeni, stationed in the Foundation site with the nightmare plushies. She never gets a break, does she ?

Excellent as always, though I do have a small gripe with SCP-1048-B. I'm sure it was for the sake of not being demonetized/earning an adult rating, but for anyone who hasn't read the article: SCP-1048-B was not half bear, half human (at least in the way it was represented here)-- it was a construct very similar to SCP-1048, but it walked in a more jerky manner. It wasn't a hybrid per say, but a patchwork of a near term fetus _inside_ of SCP-1048-B. At one point its seems came undone and a hand was seen, clutching and grabbing at the air. And it managed to [DATA EXPUNGED] a screaming female researcher, which caused major internal injuries. Both the SCP object and researcher were (as you'd expect) [DATA EXPUNGED].
It's safe to say that while seeing something that would be.. visceral, more of an implication would of worked a bit better than a hybrid.

I've seen SCP 1048 in containment breach, but this video shows the true horror of this bear. It can turn living objects into itself as well as straight up guns

Clever how Bob explains dodging material that would get the video demonetized as looking out for a traumatized collogue. Really cool way to do it that still keeps the fiction intact
I'm surprised it's taken this long for someone to come up with new 1048 creations, at least in content like this that actually gets attention. I only came up with a couple more outside of the original article, both in tales that never ended up being published to the site. One was made out of paperclips and was actually friendly and named Clippy, the other was made out of a SCP-1439 sticker, which was my 2nd article.
These are all pretty great, well done.
Out of all of them, the ones made out of radioactive materials and the infant are by far the most disturbing of them all.
Site-24 must be such a stressful work environment. Bar the rest of the horrifying anomalies, you could just be walking down the hall one day and suddenly get merc'd by a teddy bear of all things!
SCP-1048 must be within Site-24 to this day otherwise Foundation monitoring would've heard something horrifying going on out there by now, right?

I remember hearing about scp-1048-B and it's def in the best that Dr. Bob didn't go deeper into detail mainly because of how disturbing the case was.
