If I use butter instead of margarine, is there a big difference in terms of taste? I’m not from Ph anymore and the margarines here just doesn’t taste the way it does back home 😓
Sure. You can use butter. Flavor is definitely better. We used margarine for 2 reasons - #1 it is a cheaper alternative to butter #2 your baked goods has a longer shelf life.
I am sorry but I am not familiar with brands available there so I can not give you a definite answer. Try to find a butter and margarine blend. You can use butter if you want but it does not keep as long as the one made with margarine and butter blend. I use cheddar cheese for this recipe. Do not use a soft cheese. Thank you for watching.
