    I love these types of video, I find them very restful not a lot of chatter or science projects and pleasant music. The three hanging baskets are adorable. I've noticed lately that many garden videos are so loud (maybe I'm getting old?) I end up turning off unless it has something of interest to me. Thank you for your videos and your free style of gardening.

    Seeee THIS is where a greenhouse or cold frame and heater come in. I overwinter baskets and have had some of the same plants going for years. During winter they live in a DIY structure made using old windows and doors. The baskets are gorgeous!

    Started planning a shade garden last year. I call it the rust garden because I use Rusty containers. I have an old fire pit so you've inspired me to convert the fire pit into a planner. It actually had a top which I'm going to convert into a hanging basket of shade plants. Thanks for the idea

    I would plant some calendula or lemon marigolds in your vege gardens to confuse pests and bring in pollinators. Tom's like to be with peppers and basil. Corn and beans do well together as the corn is a stake for beans. Companion planting saves water, weeding and reduces pests...I've forgotten alot but thought this might help.
    Jo😊

    • @TheImpatientGardener
      @TheImpatientGardener  วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Lots of flowers in the veg garden already (four full beds of them plus in the corners of every veg bed and the in-ground edges). I’m more of a plant partners believer rather than companion planting person but there is some overlap there. The important thing is to do what works for you in your garden.

    Kumara or sweet potatoes are eaten heaps here in NZ.
    They like sandy, well composted, friable soil, (similar to potatoes)and heaps of blood and bone.
    The Maori chuck fish heads and bone carcasses into the soil, before planting but blood n bone will do..... the size is massive at harvesting time.
    Just thought this might help, Jo😊
