  • This is the first part to a rebuild of our International Harvest 574 Diesel Fuel Pump Injector. The engine is a D239 Diesel and the pump is a Bosch pump if I am correct. We have never rebuilt one of these pumps but a replacement was any where from $1600 to $3400 so we figured we would attempt to repair this one. We found some information about the repair from TH-cam so we wanted to show our success or failure with the rebuild. Hopefully we will learn something and hopefully it give y’all some valuable information as well. Thanks for watching!

Hey, i just bought a harvester 574, and i got diesel fuel running into my engine oil! The engine does not have a fuel lifter pump, so do you think the fuel is leaking from the rubber sealant from the shaft on the pump?

Most likely the front seal on the injection pump drive shaft. Before the pandemic, The seal as described from CaseIH is >$20. the number 3078355R2 crosses over to a NAPA seal for $6. The seal from CaseIH has the embossed designation: Kaco 30 DF17 28. 7.3 TVF03, is 17 MM Bosch seal # 1 460 283 312
NAPA takes a couple days to get it in, but so does CaseIH. DO NOT LOOSEN the 3 Cap Screws on the pump drive hub, just the big nut on the drive shaft.
