Lyrics
Faster than a bullet
Terrifying scream
Enraged and full of anger
He's half man and half machine
Rides the Metal Monster
Breathing smoke and fire
Closing in with vengeance soaring high
He is the Painkiller
This is the Painkiller
Planets devastated
Mankind's on its knees
A saviour comes from out the skies
In answer to their pleas
Through boiling clouds of thunder
Blasting bolts of steel
Evils going under deadly wheels
He is the Painkiller
This is the Painkiller

Throwback Reaction Judas Priest - Painkiller | THE WOLF HUNTERZ Reactions
Judas Priest - Painkiller
• Judas Priest - Painkiller
Painkiller is the twelfth studio album by English heavy metal band Judas Priest, released in September 1990. It was the last Judas Priest album to feature long-time lead singer Rob Halford until his return for the 2005 album Angel of Retribution and the first to feature drummer Scott Travis. Wikipedia
Artist: Judas Priest
Release date: September 3, 1990
Length: 46:08
Producer: Chris Tsangarides
Studio: Miraval Studios, Correns, France and Wisseloord Studios, Hilversum, Netherlands
Genres: Heavy metal, Thrash metal, Speed metal - เพลง
Many consider Painkiller the ultimate metal song and the whole album is relentless!
And its funny that it is a beast of a heavy song and the bass in the studio version is not even bass (or at least doesn’t sound like it)
And rest of all other band can never live this up.
Awesome tour! The only time I saw them live was the Painkiller tour in Toronto 1990. Megadeth opened for them.
@@sancamilobadthe bass was mixed with Don Airey's keyboards.
Damn right💯🤘
Judas Priest defined Heavy Metal. Heavy Metal is the definition of Judas Priest.
Rock n roll hall of Fame will never be complete with out the Priest
The R&R HOF is a fkn horribly biased bad joke...They sht on Rush for years (check out Alex Lifeson's acceptance speech...it tells all). And, unless something has changed, Journey is still being snubbed after their run of popularity on top of the music world back in the late 70's and early 80's? Also, one of the Hall's idiot powers that be was quoted a long time ago saying that Priest and Maiden are NEVER getting in if they had anything to do with it.
RnRHoF is for mortals. Not GODS!
F the hall of fame
And now they’re in…for whatever that’s worth anymore.
In the dictionary under heavy metal it says, “Please see Painkiller by Judas Priest.” \m/\m/
No joke it doesn't get more metal than this song !!
This song is SO metal that my fridge magnets came into my living room to see what's going on
When someone asks you " Hey, what's a good metal song I can listen to" You just simply hit play on Painkiller and push 'em into the grinder... F*ck it.... If they die, they die ...
Love this:D
Push em into grinder lmao 🤘🥴
The most metal song off the most metal album from the metalest gods of all time!!! METAL!!!!
Possibly the song that SAVED METAL !! At the beginning of the Grunge era ! Metal needed this!
Tipton and Downing...Metal guitar gods!
My dad told me when PAINKILLER album came up back in 1990 it caught everybody off guard; even Judas Priest fans didn't expect to be hit like this...
With this song and this album, the band took the heavy metal to the category of the fine arts. BEYOND ANY DOUBT
Well JP fans are one of the most rigid ones. They hate everything that is not "pure metal". Look at Nostradamus an incredible proggy album and they simply annihilated that with their hate. They simply did not understand this album at all
THIS SONG SETS THE METAL STANDARD HIGH!!
Everybody has "their" era. But I still find it puzzling that you can be so into metal that you start your own band. Yet you've managed to miss out on one of the finest pieces of the genre. God I must be getting old.😭😭😭
😂😂😂 I hear you
The definition of Metal, nothing else or less.
Best metal track ever recorded .......best metal band ever
Over 30 years ago... One of the best hit in heavy metal. Still very, very badass at now!!
Agree. All of them masters of their craft AND able to let go in a controlled way!
Who you just called them these guys really cool and talented one of metal music creators and founders😅😅 Band formed in Birmingham in 1969, Painkiller album on top 20 albums ever made in metal music history
That kick ass drummer was Scott Travis. His debut for the band was this album (also called Painkiller) and he's still with them now. He's a legend!
The great Glenn Tipton. What an amazing talent.
I see Rob Halford, I click! Dude is awesome
Back in the day this was the elders showing the Jr's how it's done
Imagine that these guys are around 70 years old 🤘
I bought this album and took it home. I put it in my dvd player and I have never been the same after that.
This is the true definition of heavy metal!🤘
I was just waiting in my living room for you to get to this song, you started with 80s Priest, which is great, now this one is "the song", you cannot go more metal than Painkiller, it's just impossible to write a song that is more metal than this one, not even priest can.
Rob Halford's voice is like one more guitar.
8:22 - Love that Halford stare.
And a new Judas Priest fan has been born!
Played this song at my husbands funeral. It was his favorite song. Then four months later at my daughter's wedding . In memory of him. 😢
This is the definition of METAL!!!
Rob Halford is THE METAL GOD! \m/ - I grew up listening to this stuff, saw them live MANY times.. It's so amusing to see people hear it for the 1st time and have that WTF'hell look on their face, like "How have I never heard this before??!!" - It's awesome.
I feel the same been listening to Judas since Painkiller days in 1992 ;) cant believe still that this was their last heaviest album even though Turbo lover was okay but not as brutal as Painkiller ;) my album was Ram it down :)
I almost agree with you. DIO is #1 and Halford is #2 imho
@@jaredpetersen7343 Firepower was pretty darn heavy.
Suzy on her own. This could be the way forward!! 😁
I like it better this way.
That is the metal God just flexing his power.
The isolated vocal track is on TH-cam and it's incredible.
Nice to know, have to check that out.
Still.. despite all the years.. still pure metal!!
Cheers from Sweden. Ive been around of alot musicians both low and high. I can say that when we get to talk about Judas Priest this song almost always comes up. Its literally the best damn metal song. Hands down.
The definition of metal !
If you want to categorize music.....this is true METAL is it's purest form. Priest-The Metal Gods!!!!
I've listening to judas priest since his British steel album. I love his music
What a way to introduce a new drummer !
I saw them way back in 86 play Reunion Arena in Dallas, sold out. Loud as hell and the whole place smelled like POT, ah what memories.
Jusas Priest / iron Maiden !!!! What else can I say?? I grew up listening to these bands - my favorites . I am glad to see that the "younger" generation is now getting into the true makers of METAL!!!!!!!!
Holding a note???? Wait until the end - 20 seconds plus. 1st solo - Glenn Tipton, closing solo KK Downing....twin leads without peer.
LOVEBITES latest AUDIO cover song PAIN KILLER (JUDAS PRIEST) 🤘
The first time I heard this, my head nearly exploded and I forgot to breathe. And I literally grew up on their music (60 years old now). Glenn Tipton is a God...and what a flippin debut for Scott Travis! There's a technique that winded & vocalists use to breathe in and push out simultaneously...do a search. 😉
Rob Halford is 70 now and still rocks on this song, going to see them in November and I can't wait
Saw Priest this November and they were all still going hard like this although they didn’t play Painkiller
@3:40 “Did you hear how long he held that note out for?” I heard him at a live show in the 80s scream for like 60-90 seconds - solo. Halford has mastery over his breathing and screaming like no other.
wow
watching your facial reactions, i tought you gonna decide to stop doing music :D @@TheWolfHunterZ
Jydas Priest is just unreal. Glen Tipton on guitar and Rob Halford who can sing the phonebook
Don’t forget the incomparable Scott Travis on drums. This was his first album with Judas Priest.
Glenn Tipton is super
Rob halford is a metal god awesome guitarist insane drummer love judas priest awesome band an song
Congrats to hear the best metal son ever maded
Insane drums and guitar and of course vocals from Rob Halford who is a metal God
Savage from the “Stained Class” album has some high screams. The lyrics are awesome as well..
04 Rising in the East great live version of this...like 20 yrs later when they were in their 50s kicks ass
This is where, for me, JP toppled Maiden and Metallica.
Priest absolutely tops both of those bands, absolutely
07:08 Yo got it "trubel kicks" Yes it is 3 hammer with twopedals for bass drum possible order on e-storage.
I was a senior in high school when this song/ album was released, awesome then and still just as awesome now.
Saw this live in 1991 when it came out and ..... damn. Brutal
With TESTAMENT MEGADETH saw this tour overseas in Germany
@@u.s.m.c.fewproudthemarines2987 yes !! Testament ..... pretty sure it was souls of black. Priest came out on the Harley's etc. awesome show
Brings back memories. They debuted this video in headbangers ball probably 30 yrs ago and I saw it now I feel old lol
Hall of Fame Number One 💪💪💪💪💪💪
I saw them live in Nashville and they were awesome!!
Maybe (surely) the definition of HEAVY METAL..... this Painkiller !!!!
Thx Dear...
Ultimate Metal!!!!
Awesome reaction ..buuuuut your way behind in regards to Priest and the "Metal God" Rob Halford...check out Victim of Changes live in Memphis 82 ... you'll never be the same again
The All Fathers of Metal
You were speaking of their stamina and have to realize these guys are also in their 40's atleast by this time, they started in 1971 and this is 1990.
Вообще, если честно, JP-90 - это смелый эксперимент. Когда в вокале оставляешь все тексты читаемыми, но сам вокал делаешь одним из инструментов. Что требует о вокалиста мега повышенного мастерства.
A Magnum Opus from JP, love you two! Your reactions are so entertaining
Judas Priest are quite simply one of the greatest metal bands ever. Enough said.
Rob Halford' s iconic vocals and the double bass thunder blast drumming from Scott Travis , make this song a classic heavy metal head banger . Rock and roll !!
Halford is now 70+ and still pulls off this song freaking amazing.
You should check out the solo Halford stuff , "Resurrection "
Rob , The King !!
Priest, Priest, Priest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This song is a ripper for sure! Not the biggest Priest fan…. But HOLY HELL on this one for sure!🤘
"METAL FUCKIN MASTERPIECE"
Halford,Downing,Tipton,Travis 🤘🤘🤘🤘oh yes.Die Jungs konnten was 😉. Ich war ein Riesen Fan von Judas Priest
one more thing....ur smile is infectious
There is not even one mediocre cover of Painkiller. This is so well executed that no one has ballz to try :D
Love the Solo REAC Suzy!!! New Warning song dropped... Its KILLER!!
You JAM!!!!😮😮😮😊😊😊
Glenn and kk the greatest double axe grinders ever period
The legendary deiform songster lordship, the indomitable metal God Rob freaking Halford. It was an absolute dreamy wonderment and honorific pleasure observing the band. When I was three rows in the flesh adjacent the prodigious stage they performed upon. Rob Halford strolled out wearing beauteously scintillating purpurescent attire for the few first compositions. An later even commanded his majestic gleaming metalliferous steed out onto the stage when they performed "Hell Ben For Leather." Despite myself being classical & orchestral songsmith, I am also operatic songster. An Rob Halford is the reason I desirably furthered my vocal prowess. Thus enabling myself to unleash magnisonant falsettos and screams like Rob from studying/hearkening to his glorious otherworldly vocality. Which was splendiferous for when I used to do my grandeur Judas Priest vocal renditions at opulent nighteries downtown. But a another exemplary reactionary video as always.
Judas Priest did a song a few years before this album called "FreeWheel Burning"......it was my intro to faster metal, or thrash metal......blew my freakin mind. Then this song just takes it to a different level. Priest just doesn't disappoint in any era.
Heaviest song ever!
Hard believe it’s been 33 yrs since this blew our metal ear drums out .. TOP 3 songs all time in metal
For sure to me it has a strong tribal vibe that even can fit with prog timing at the beginning in an heavier and simplier way for the groove of the song . Good drum Pattern Princess . 5'37" - 5' 40" 🤟
The Ultimate Metal song! 🔥💯
Did you notice they incorporated a violin in that solo
Love the wolf hunterz you guys rock!! 🤘 I'm also in a band called hot pocket.. we do rock and metal covers plus we got couple of our own bangers!!.. erm.. Just to add.... Suzie I have a big crush on you.. 😊 looking beautiful btw.. anywho!!! Big up to you all.. Great reaction !! Judas priest one my fave bands ever!! 😁🤘😝
Saw them in concert last week.
painkiller is the heavy metal anthem!
I still remember the first time I played this CD. It was pure adrenaline. I pissed of some people in my dorm that day (US Air Force), but it was worth it. Best Metal album of all time IMO.
Judas priest is very very cool
