Thank you so much for this video Hilja. I think Chevening ask if applicants are considering to apply for any other scholarship. Please does saying yes to this question affect an applicant's chance of getting selected?
nice job with the presentation, quite informative. but here's my concern. i applied for the chevening scholarship and I noticed a few similarities between the two in the essays. can I paraphrase or reuse some of my write ups in the chevening essays for the CSC? since my essays for the two scholarships focus on the same issue.
Timelines may differ this year, because 2019’s application deadline was in about October, initial notification in June 2020 and final award letter in September 2020. I can imagine it’s all shifted a bit since applications were open in January 2021:/
Oh my! I do plan to make a video or so sort of talking about PhD opportunities that I've found, just unsure how to structure it. It does seem like they're harder to come across though
This was very informative indeed. I definitely know more now than I did before watching this video. Also, congratulations on the scholarships😁 My question is why did you pick common wealth over chevening?
Oh! They're pretty much the same in terms of funding, but Commonwealth is more flexible to other opportunities post award (like a PhD for instance). That is important to me.
You know what - that is a whole point that I had to properly look up after the fact. I definitely feel they could have called 'international health' 'development health' considering that's its focus, so that global health can remain about equity for all. Such silly naming conventions
Don't forget to look at the useful links in the description box!

Thanks so much Zach!
I loved how you highlighted that our experiences are relevant and that it is important that we believe in our own stories
Yeah! I always (very casually) say we're the protagonist in our own stories, so shine etc
@@quarterlife5506 Yes yes yes, the sun in your universe, the main character in your story.

Hi! Congrats! :) Wonder around what time/dates/months does the CSC notify you of the C/W Master's outcome/decision? Thanks!

Can you make a part 2 of this video talking about the actual application process?
Hi Vanshika! Sure I can. I need to work on communicating with clarity, so thanks for your feedback!
This was worth watching, Iam struggling to get a PhD scholarship 🤦🏽♀️

Can student do part time in uk after getting common wealth schlorship or cheveng schlorship ?
Hey, nope. Your study visa (as sponsored by chevening/commonwealth) is for full time study only, and you may not work more than 20 hours a week.
Hey can you help me in writing development impact statement for commonwealth shared scholarship? I'll pay for that.
Sorry! I definitely cannot, but surely some of the links in the description box should help you in writing a good one! All the best!

Hi... Hilja, public health, global health and international health are not really the same thing 😅

@@quarterlife5506 Yeah... I agree it’s silly! We should have just named the whole thing ‘development health’ maybe 😅
I expected you to tell us step by step process. Such a boring video I slept majority of the time
