Mentai sounds super interesting! I also prefer the other whole grain rice over white now. I've heard white rice is relatively new (only few hundred years) and lacks much of the original nutrition of the brown, red, black and other natural rice (plus heartier texture). I miss traveling _S0_MUCH_ I live vicariously thru your foodie (and sweaty Andrea angles, lol) adventures. xD
Yeah, they all look fun and unique! The vegan Japanese place is called Obon Shokudo. We also had a branch of Afuri Ramen open up here too that has a vegan ramen with hazelnut broth 😊
I love udon and sushi. There's a saying that you eat Japanese food with your eyes first, and then with your mouth. It's so neat and pretty. I really want to eat it. 우동, 스시 너무 좋아해요. 일본음식은 먼저 눈으로 먹고 그다음에 입으로 먹는다는 말이 있을정도로 정말 정갈하고 예뻐요. 정말 먹고싶네요
