    As an amateur kendo practitioner, I must say I'm impressed with the training you guys do. Our dojo makes us swing our shinai 100 times and I can barely keep up and if our training was like this, I would have lost consciousness. You guys are as strong and amazing as my sensei and my senpais.

    That's some serious thalassaphobia there. What did the Med. do to deserve that much fury?

      Tiny Rick of course the Koreans had swords. Whether or not they had them before the Japanese is ultimately irrelevant. Most of the martial heritage in Korea was lost to time due to the occupation by Japan towards the beginning of the 20th century. It’s possible that the Koreans had swords that were exactly like Japanese katanas, but it more likely that this is fabricated. It would be great if someone could provide historical evidence for anything in this video, chances are though it doesn’t exist

      A lot of countries has sword with the same shape of Katana, they came from the Tangdao of China. But only Japanese took their sword serious and develop an unique art/technique around it, while other countries only saw it as "another weapon".
      Same reason when every countries used bow but only Mongolian have their "Mongolian archer thumb".
      Gumdo just copy 100% of Kendo, add some fancy dancing stuff in it and slam some history page with picture of man hold sword.
      Also this is not the first time Korean stealing things and made fake history anyway. I will not surprise if some Korean dancer claim Capoeira is "Made in Korean" because they have pictures of a dancing man.

      @Tiny Rick
      Teakwondo, Hapkido, Kkakji (Mongolian archery). And please don't tell me Teakwondo are from Teakkyeon, like i said, they just made things up and slam some history things to make it look like they own it.
      The only things that Korean should take is Kyokushin Karate, which was found by Korean. But they rather steal things more than develop their own art.

      @@hoanglinhle4468 what do you study? I'm a 2nd Dan in Haidong Gumdo, it's a fine and complex martial art. One of the main elements of Budo is to not disrespect other arts.
