I have the strip only. However, i had to build up the floor to accommodate because of the thickness. It has 14 months of use and is still going strong.
@@jerrywbissey1797 I already had a driCore subfloor. So, I had to cut out a spot for the insert. Then, I originally used a 1 inch foam border and a putting turf covering. The foamboard ultimately developed footprints at the address position from repeated pressure. I finally took those out and used two 1/2 inch plywood sheets as a replacement for the foamboard
Stay away from the grass series. It’s awful. Their other series I haven’t tested. I’ve heard good things but to be honest I always thought their products were overpriced. My favorite hitting surface is either the bullseye 3d or the indoor golf sig pro 3d. I have a video reviewing them. It’s a firm feel, but I love the irons of this mat. Feels like firm fairway to me. Anyway, hope this helps and hit me up if I can help further!!
I’ll be building my own hitting mat to put the pro softy in, given how thick the turf is on the softy, should it be left sitting slightly higher than the surrounding mat or best to keep them level with each other?
Hey The Golf Nerd, I just watched your video and I must say that it was really informative and well-made. I was wondering if I could help you edit your videos and repurpose your long videos into highly engaging shorts? I can also make high CTR thumbnails for your channel
I really like the feel of the hitting strip, but I don’t like the softer feel of the stance mat as much as I like, standing on my turf in my current set up. I honestly think that this hitting strip is probably more forgiving on your body than the Bullseye, but for whatever reason, I really enjoy the Bullseye and that’s still my personal favorite.
@@TheGolfNerd ok good to hear, I just purchased the bullseye 3D (hasn’t arrived yet) and I am still slightly worried it might be too firm for me but hoping its all good. Sounds like we’ve had similar issues with elbows/forearm pain so if you’re good with it I’m hoping I will be as well. Might also have to work on reducing my angle of attack :)
@@TheGolfNerd I was looking at talking with you about the softy then I saw the lite. I’ll wait to see review. Other thought is after seeing your setup I like the hitting strip with a large mat the whole up around it. The height of the softy makes it hard to match. The Litr might be easier but I don’t want to sacrifice quality. I will be interested.

That’s great to hear! Thanks for sharing your long term experience!!
@@justifiablyfit how did you match the softy height with the rest of your mats?

Nice work as always… Any opinion on the Fiberbuilt mat? I have ez hybrid now but want to change.

I would shoot for level, but if you are gonna miss, miss in the high side. I don’t know anyone who likes the ball underneath their feet!!
Love the sound of a good golf swing and compression. Great vid.
Thanks!!
Great video. Always appreciate your product testing. Thank you so much.

I really appreciate the offer but I run on a shoe string and editing is a guilty pleasure, so I wouldn’t be interested, but thanks for reaching out!
Looks great, do you prefer it to your Bullseye 3D hitting strip?

@@mattd7814 I’d really like to hear what you think once you have it. Did you go 3D?
Yes I got the 3D strip, I’ll let you know how it goes. Should be here tomorrow.
Are the two outer mats the exact same and interchangeable, or is there a left and a right?
They are interchangeable. I should have made this clear. Thanks for raising the question!
Have you looked at the new Lite model?
I haven’t. But I can let them know there is some interest and they will probably send me a sample for review. Thanks for the idea!!
