    Hello Alex and Tyler,
Welcome to the industrial Midwest where technology is mechanical not digital. I like the blacksmith idea of blocks of steel and cast iron. Machine shops made custom lumberjack tools and military machines. The magnetic rocks are hematite from the Mesabi range in Minnesota and deposits from the upper peninsula of Michigan. Lots of the hematite was 50% iron oxide which the recyclers can use. Electric arc furnaces will melt and refine the rocks and scrap into new steel. Thanks for cleaning the waterways. If you guys can figure out a tasty way to cook the zebra mussels you can start a new fishery for the Midwest. Looking at the video I can smell the fresh air and water.

Like what you saved from the scrap cart. They would make cool wall art. Keep on fishing ‼️🐟🐠🐟

Those cheese pieces you found are called wedges they used them to split logs with for fire wood or to build houses. They came in different sizes. I used them as a kid. My mom and dad used them to split chunk of wood that was to big around for the wood stove. You may need 2 or 3 to get the job done depending on how big the chunk was around. You used a sladge hammer to knock the wedge in to the wood they had big fat heads on some and so none was smaller headed some was long and some was short. Most was about 6 to 8 inches long or more. Dad had all sizes they had to be sharpen to cut the wood. If they was dull you had a harder time getting the wood split. So you kept them very sharp. Like you would your AX. Some times when the handles was off the axes they used them for wedges too if you didn't have one to do the job. They are steel. Dad always sharpened his axes and wedges daily. If used alot so they'd be ready to work next day. It wS hard work cutting up wood to heat the house with. Not like to day Dad didn't have a chain saw he had what is called a buzz saw he cut the logs up in to chunks then you had to split them up in to fire wood. I like your finding of these old great tool. Wish I had one .

They might be selling some on the marketplace. I think both Alex and Tyler has a store selling stuff like lures and whatever else that they’re selling.👍🏼🇨🇦

I worked at Brown printing here in our town. We used those rollers on everything, everywhere, every machine. We had those rollers. They held the paper and material down so that we can get it. Those rollers are used on a lot of things here. 😊😊😊

Hi! I always enjoy videos! Especially your tool finds, I have awesome memories of my dad using many of the old hand tools that you find! By the way, the magnetic rocks you and Fisher catch, are actually called, Magnetite. They have a natural, very high Iron content! Iron ore. Happy throwing!

😅 every time Alex takes an item off his magnet. He grabs it and swings it off aggressively and the mud goes flying on the steering wheel. The steering wheel is all muddy now I don’t think he had noticed what he was doing. I see the mud flying ball was that.😄😄😄😄😉 7:13

Your "big tap and die" piece is close, as I think that is part of a metal lathe, The three protrusions would hold the metal while the lathe turned.

Hey guys, awesome video with some interesting finds. I wanted to suggest that if you wanted to. The carbide bits and the other small square metal pieces you find. What you could do is find out exactly what kind of metal the squares are and if they are tungsten steel they will bring you more $$$ than just plain steel per pound. Those carbide should def be worth something more than steel. But one of you said that those squares are really heavy for no bigger than they are. Stay safe. Blessings, cheers.😊

Those long looking spikes that you found you should have those checked out those might be old ships spikes for building ships or log cabins the rust and water didn't make those spikes go to a point they were made like that you should check them out before you scrap them those spikes might be really old
