It’s a great guitar riff - I wish they cut to it instead of leaving it out of the clip!

The Los Angeles show is not full, it’s only this clip and another of Paradise, but the pretty much same exact show is to be found here from São Paulo, Brazil that same year

I wish Chris would still sing it like the original recording. When playing it live now he 'clips' or cuts short the end of each 1st phrase 'Come up to meet you...' 'I had to find you...' etc, instead of letting it flow slowly. I don't know why, but it discourages the crowd singing along with him. Doesn't sound as good.

I agree. I was just looking up live videos of him singing “The Scientist”, and I was upset to find that he cut the end of the words short. It makes me feel like he was rushing the song and not wanting to sing it with present emotion and effort.

Generally, when singers start doing that it's because their voice has lost power, or they've lost confidence in it.

@@DaveDexterMusic Aye, or perhaps even more often is that they have grown bored of it. Far too many focus on themselves when performing live, forgetting that all those people have paid a lot of money to watch them perform the songs properly, or improved upon. I find it really annoying and unprofessional, very entitled. They forget how fortunate they are. Either put on a good show with real effort, or call it quits in my opinion. There's many artists I really enjoy on record but wouldn't bother with live for that reason. Coldplay are capable of sounding as good or even better than they do recorded but I think they're wrapped up themselves like so many others.

Da época que Coldplay era bom e fazia músicas com sentimento e significado. Hoje em dia é só sintetizador, um monte de cor junta e parcerias sem sentido.
