From their debut to LA Woman . . No waste whatsoever: A 100 percent solid band all the way . .
Love the Doors .have you noticed all the newer movies are using songs from the classic rock era because there isn't any good stuff like this.
Jim has a great voice.
This was their last, really good show. Everyone is on and Jim is for once, in control and a true professional.
Love this performance.

Until then, The Doors avoided all the major rock festivals, reluctantly agreeing to appear at some of the smaller ones in Toronto and on the West Coast. Since the Seattle Pop Festival, they have been wary of all outdoor appearances. They are now scheduled to appear in what is often referred to as the last of the great festivals.
Before their appearance, The Doors, without Morrison, meet the press in a small riverside pub in Hammersmith.
The Gates had originally been scheduled to appear directly after Ten Years Later, but were delayed until after Emerson, Lake & Palmer.
The Doors are exhausted from their trip and the previous weeks' cut-off dates in Miami. Arriving at the festival, the weary band finds itself between Ten Years After and Emerson, Lake & Palmer on the one hand, and Who and Sly & The Family Stone on the other. Their intense reflective music is out of sync with acts famous for their fast and furious beat. Sometime between one and two in the morning, the Doors take the stage in the cold open-air festival and are immediately disturbed by the somewhat meager lighting and sound reinforcement systems. They mainly focus on the material from their first two albums and keep their set much longer.
Shorter than the expansive shows that had been playing in the United States that summer. Morrison overlooks the impromptu inclusion of other songs that he had incorporated into Light My Fire, but then chimes in with unreleased poetry during The End.
The show of him proves to be calm content. Afterward, Jim Morrison is so concerned about his exhausted appearance that he hints to the rest of the band that he hopes it will be his last live performance of him. Ultimately, the Doors agree to play two more shows in December, in Dallas and New Orleans, and those prove to be their final performance with Jim Morrison.
This part of the festival also featured the first satellite broadcast of a rock concert, with the capacity to cover the event in forty cities in the US and Canada. A company called Video Rangers arranged for the broadcast to be mirrored on the Atlantic satellite in color with high-fidelity sound as a special "Metavision" program that will air in New York at 9:00 pm and in California at 9:00 pm. 6:00 pm. The Video Rangers were to have worked alongside Joshua Television (both using equipment from Management Television Systems, Inc.), who had recently brought screen augmentations to a Who performance in Tanglewood, MA. Joshua White was
designated to direct the "broadcast." Scheduled for the monumental broadcast were The Doors, Jimi Hendrix, Chicago and Joan Baez.
However, in early August, it became apparent that there were still not enough spots available to broadcast the show, and the Video Rangers had to reluctantly cancel the event.
The mobile studio Pye Records is hired by Columbia to record the entire Isle of Wight Festival, employing the services of producer Ted Macero and four recording engineers. The Doors set is also filmed; however, dim lighting results in rather dark film images.
Jimbo està melòdic i agressiu. Trempós. Manant. Mel. Grans. Sublimes. Eterns.
Actually they're better than I thought at this stage of the band although I recommend Sam Houston 7/10/68 for the Doors in top form.Jim is quite animated and going off with lots of poetry and commentary with the audience.
This was their last really good show and they did not have too many good shows post 68'. This one though is their late period gem.
Always wished a Super A lister Rock Star like Chris Cornel( rip!) Did a 6 night run of Tribute to The Doors! Still hoping! Morrison set Bar so high with music and theatrics! Who gets arrested on stage?? MO JO RISEN DOES!
This Dark scenario was on point with THE DOORS
Congrats to all who do their best to make this video look authentic in it's full although it is not. The full audio is there but video is a set up done in order to make an impression that that's Jim singing the part of the songs we're actually seeing on the screen. Whereas it's cuts from another songs. I must say it's really done skilfully you really have an impression it's Jim singing the actual song. So it would be fair to say that there is a full audio of this performance available here but the full video of this performance is apparently not available.
Bullshit

Ven con Migo y cruzemos el mar
I don't subscribe to the Cult of Jim or any of that Lizard King crap, or anything. But that guy was hounded into his grave as a scapegoat for the whole 60s. Jeez they were just playing music, great music, but still just music. And you can see and hear, that they were a great live unit. A real shame.
You would think by 1970 they could afford nice haircuts!
