Wow, we love Sun River. We were there last August and it was fun to see the Falls trail that I had been on. I wish I had known about the Obsidian flows. I guess we need to get back over there soon!

Falls trail is so pretty. The obsidian flow is a little bit off the highway so need a few hours to get out there and explore, it's very cool though and totally worth it. Some good hiking trails too if you have time.

I love the long bike path & beautiful scenery. *Wow* I did not know they had lava flows in Oregon!! (Sorry I’m originally from Australia….now in BC, Canada). So I have just learnt something new! Thank you.
You have enticed me to take a trip to Oregon for my next trip to the USA (that is after I come back from Africa in Jan 2025). Thanks for the video, I’ll checkout your part 2 Bend.

The entire Cascade range in the Western US from Canada to Northern California is full of lava flows and volcanos! It's some very pretty scenery.

@onebagwalking As I said, you taught me something new (thank you) and so now I’m going down a rabbit hole to learn more about the USA/Canada volcanic areas. Hence, I now know that Canada has 5 potentially active volcanic areas, all of which are located in British Columbia (where I live now) and the Yukon Territory. I find that all so fascinating. Have a wonderful evening. And I look forward to more content & learning more from you.

I just bought a timeshare condo in Sunriver. I’ve lived in rainy Portland for many years, but I’m from the southwest. I’m looking forward to getting out of the rain, into Ponderosa pine forest and beautiful wide open dark cloudless skies and country. Paulina lake looks gorgeous to bring my kayak to, and the Newberry crater is a place I will love exploring. Please post more!

Nice! Sunriver is fun, there's so many more places to exlore around there that I didn't have time to show, plus Bend and tons to do in the mountains, hope you love it!
