    Hii Shomu
    I have some questios regarding Genetic and QTL. if possible please give Answers 1)How to distinguish quantitative trait and polygenic trait?
    2) How to dealing with simple and complex trait?
    3)How quantitative trait express?
    4) How to localize genome regions or chromosome region in QTL?
    5) How can we use trait distributions and segregating populations in order to genetic factors involve?
    6) How can we combine phenotype distribution from mapping population with genotype data from mapping population, in order find correlation between marker polymorphism and trait polymorphism?
    7) How to map QTL?
    8)Mechanism of complex trait for QTL analysis?
    single gene for QTL analysis?
    10)Regulation of complex traits?
    Thank You

    Could you by any chance do an example with real sequences and show us how you can figure out how genes on a certain loci are correlated with a certain enzyme. I understand the general concept of using regression analysis to put all this data on a map, but it would be a lot more clear to see a real world example.
    Thank you.

    In the first part of the talk, at 2.26 mins appox, can you explain how you got the band pattern from the extracted DNA? I though it will be either a smear or a large bloch, unless it is digested with some nuclease.

    • @w6rr10r
      @w6rr10r 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Rym mona He just took the DNA and mixed it with restriction enzyme (nuclease) then run a gel electrophoresis (southern blot).

  • @umarmushtaq4868
    @umarmushtaq4868 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    How would just loading of genomic DNA on to gel give different pattern.

    • @rapist_Muhammad
      @rapist_Muhammad 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Because it's being already worked by restriction enzymes

    Hi Mr shomas . i want to ask a question ? i read many research paper for qtls. almost in all paper ty developed a population from a cross. is it necessary for qtls.?

    Hello, may I ask is R and S possible to be negative? Thank you! (I am not sure if is bigger number minus the smaller number or follow the formula strictly such that R=average of offspring trait - average of base population trait) thank you ! Hope you could help me (regarding breeder's equation)

    very informative video. i have one question, i was under the impression that quantitative means the characters that are controlled by more than one gene and cannot be easily detected in phenotype. can you help me in this confusion?

    • @adamalbright2020
      @adamalbright2020 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Although they are not easily detected in phenotype. In this case a plant that is more drought resistant is more likely to have the QTL
