If you look at film on Tim Hardaway Jr. when he played in Atlanta and New York, he was a very good scorer. People have said that he is over paid. I disagree. He was a very good scorer BEFORE he came to the Mavs. His film study speaks for itself. When KP got injured in New York he was heavily relied upon to do all the scoring and he did a very good job. My only concern about Tim Hardaway jr. is his defense. I don't know how good his is or isn't. Now, if you add him to the starting line up in Dallas in 2019-2020 he's going to be an even better scorer with Luka as the main ball handler. Why do I say this? Luka showed last season that no defender can guard him one on one. That's going to cause opposing teams to double team and/or pay too much attention to Luka. If you don't believe that, go watch the film. With that being said, that's going to cause wide open looks for Tim Hardaway Jr., KP, and anyone else. Starting Tim Hardaway Jr. in the line up with Luka is going to make him an even better scorer. I guarantee it. Tim Hardaway Jr. has a chance to develop into that strong 3rd player to complement Luka and KP. 2019-2020 will be his chance to audition. Hopefully, the Mavs and Tim Hardaway Jr. will see this and take advantage of it. Keep in mind. I'm talking about Tim Hardaway Jr.'s potential. He has the potential to be the strong 3rd major piece that the Mavs need to work with Luka & KP. Let's hope this works out.
