to clarify the Brazilian situation: that one MC is not that famous and the program was popular that one day BECAUSE OF KARD! and we all got so upset at what he did. that guy is a racist and a supporter of our disgusting ex-president Bolsonaro, he's not popular like that around here anymore. it hurts me to know that it affected Kard's view about Brazil so much, even though is completely understandable... all it takes is one bad person to make you despise others. love you, Kard! we'll defend you whenever we need to ❤️

Some people said "It doesn't define Brazil at all", but it kinda does. Asian brazilian people are here for more than a hundred years and sometimes we are treated like we don't belong here, sometimes we are mocked, exotified and fetichized, which can happen with other asian foreigners as well. But it's not much different than any western country I guess. And it doesn't mean everyone is like that, in general people here are really kind and respectfull as well. It's so sad when we or people we like goes through this, but know that it's okay to be angry about it.
