I've had to failed marriages also that I'm not proud both my HUSBANDS were very abusive I knew if I didn't get out I might not be alive today. I never thought I would open my heart up again to another man after all the heartbreak I went through but then one day God blessed me and I met Sargeant Walter Sanders he's so amazing, I never thought I would ever find happiness. We've been together now 16 months, he's deployed in Afghanistan at the moment and I miss him so much. Soon I know he will be home for me and I thank God everyday for putting him in my life

Man, old music is so underrated. As a kid, I can say with confidence that my decision to start listening to the local station that played 60s, 70s and 80s music was incredibly life-changing. So many people from my generation are missing out on the best music in the world(seriously, most of today's songs lack meaning to the lyrics and are worlds apart from the oldies genre in so many aspects). I can imagine that growing up back then was so awesome, with MTV in the 80s and music beginning to make its impact on the world in the 60s and 70s. Here's to old music, the hundreds of songs from back in the day that are a true blessing to my life! :)

After the mother of my children left me I was sick for months. I used to listen to songs about heartbrake morning and night and cry myself into nothingness. I would close my eyes and leak into any shirt towel sheet pillow or blanket that was within reach. The songs I had in rotation began to get old and I would search for a new melody to soothe my pain. Eventually I landed on this one. It was the first song in my journey through the abyss that was actually happy and about being in love rather than about love lost. At first it broke me to hear the sweet lyrics of two people so happy in love, but eventually it dawned on me that I was blessed to have ever been in love in the first place. I sometimes come back here to listen and daydream about what I used to have, to ponder if I'll ever have it again, and to thank God for having allowed me to live my story regardless. Peace to you.

My sister was soo in love with this song and Lionel Ritchie growing up. When she had her daughter (Ariela) she would sing this to her as a lullaby. Ariela died from cancer when she was 10. My sister played this song at her funeral. My sister left this world shortly after. I never saw a love so deep and unending as that.
