When you said you wanted to do an unripe banana for the hair, maybe the ripeness of the banana changes with the mermaid's age. You could draw a little baby mermaid who is green and not peeled at all. Then maybe a toddler could have the peel at skirt length with more yellow, and so on. Love your videos!❤

2:27 when Rin hurt her fingers on the palette, that quick flash of red made me actually sense that pain 😩 Can’t tell you how many times I’ve hurt myself similarly coz some things can be tough to open or remove.
Personally I would’ve given her dark birthmarks as like the age dots on bananas or whatever they’re called 😂😂

I've recently been bingeing some of your older videos (like, 5years ago old!) and I have to say, I didn't notice it while it was happening, but you've improved So Heccing Much! Not just your art, but your confidence with your art has improved so much. I guess the change is so gradual that it isn't obvious when you're just watching along, but once you go back and look it's crazy to see the difference

Random fact for mermay: If mermaids really existed, they would be plus sized. They would need blubber to survive in the cold ocean.

Not necessarily as it would depend where they are. Also if they gain weight like humans they'd also lose it like humans and swimming is a good way to loose weight. They might have bulky tails but that would likely be muscle more than fat.
If anything I think they'd be more fit due to swimming being extremely good exercise.
Also depends on where they live. Maybe Mermaids who live in tropical waters would be slimmer than those in cooler waters.
True true but like what if they're is coastal mermaids too who can survive in deep water enough to get away from our human eyes 👀
Well they are magical . So they can do whatever you or anyone wants. Or even they want. They just have to be half human and have a tail .

Hello Do you know how to get better at drawing faces I have tried references they don’t seem to work and I don’t think I will continue art because I’m not confident in my art do you have any tips and what do you think I should do
References are always gonna be your friend. Sometimes they can be overwhelming which is what I'm guessing might be your issue. What I would suggest is printing out some references and putting a thin piece of paper on top and tracing out the faces. Let the motions in your hand become familiar. then after wards, try to draw it again on a separate piece of paper. it will take time, but trust me you are heading in the right direction. don't give up!
I have that same van gogh water color paint set and have used it a few times before. Something I did NOT realize was the little brush that came with it.
I was so surprised when I found that strange plastic piece was a paint brush!!

I recently had to switch to Paletteful Packs because my Scrawler box wouldn't take out debt card and it wouldn't deliver(our debt card was all good) I've had Palleteful packs in mind for a while, and I have had it for the past four months and I LOVE IT!
