Part three of a documentary about the constuction of a Michael Brey Classical Guitar. Making the Neck.
This documentary is giving you an insight into the making of a high end Classical Guitar.
Filmed and edited on location by Michael Brey.
So relaxing...
Thank you for your comment. This is how I like to work. Slowly, quietly, only handtools.
i like guitar as instrument and sound of it, but i am not very at playing it, only would be interesting to make one, i even have started, would you like to see?
Could I ask; why hide glue rather than a modern wood glue like Titebond? The addition of carbon fibre to the neck makes me suspect you are not totally a slave to tradition 🙂
also, I hear So What?, and the Pool of Salmacis; why do you have my record collection?
Thanks for your comment. Hide glue dries to a very hard almost crystaline state which is better for sound transmission.
And yes, I am not a slave to tradition as you can also see in Part Six.
Making the neck of a Classical Guitar. Enjoy!
Thank you for watching. A small part of the audio track has been deleted to make this video available for everyone. Michael Brey.
