eraser i think has always been Mic's nickname for aizawa im p sure. also it might also be cuz theyre around all might whose their senpai in hero and age terms so it would be considered improper for them to refer to him as anything informal, while all might doesnt know either of them well enough at this point in terms of japanese conventions.
Aside from them being their nicknames for each other, it's also probably cause they were there to "discuss something important" but I mean that's only relevant before All Might shows up. Being formal is probably the main reason
