  • I thought I should have a look at how Harley Davidson Dealerships are handling some of the controversy. In my research I only really found 2 dealerships that have acknowledged the controversy.
    How do you think they did?
    Affiliated links
    Oil Change kit I purchased;

    Tire Inflation Device, so far works great;

    I am sorry but HD destroy two mom and pop dealerships near me and the one still sells motorcycles but was a HD dealership for over 60 years and the other is now owned by a corporation so to me the Boycott is still on and it won’t be over till the CEO and Board of Directors are all fired

    Dealerships are in a tough spot. They're franchisees of the MoCo. They have a lot of skin in the game. The smart move is to stay the course, and keep the family of customers close, and let this situation sort itself out. I can detect that my dealer staff is upset, but they still put on a happy face. Why would I want to hurt them, for a decision made well above their pay grades?

    • @streetsean

      Yes, for sure, they are customer facing, and unfortunately, they have to take the bad as well as the good.

    Any company that Blackrock, Vanguard and State Street invests in goes DEI. On the Board at Harley is : ALLAN GOLSTON
    President, United States Program for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. So boycott Microsoft while you’re at it then. Many who’ve said boycott Harley either don’t own or can’t afford one. Boycotting will only affect privately Owned dealerships and the people who work there who have nothing to do with the political BS of DEI. The video showing the guy shooting up his Harley would have likely just sat in his field with weeds growing around it because he doesn’t ride it anymore. Why not show his likely brand new Harley that he won’t shoot up?

    • @streetsean
      @streetsean  หลายเดือนก่อน

      He's shot up another one, and I agree it looks like he bought an old one just to do that. I've seen a few people talk about being disappointed in their decisions that ride Harleys, but nothing about them boycotting them. I wouldn't be able to boycott ever company that does the DEI crap as most of them do it now, but I can stop purchasing merchandise of companies I know do it (HD).
      I ride 2 Harleys, one I'm not getting rid of because I promised it to one of my kids when it's time to hand it down. The other I'm not as attached to it, if a bike comes up that I like better I will trade it in.

    All long time harley owners have heard other owners say, "I love harley, but I hate harley". And we all knew what that meant. We love the bikes, the ride, and the profile. But we all know that Harley (and yes dealerships too. I believe that's where the term "Stealerships came from.) had policy issues that we all knew sucked. But we excepted it and maybe even forgave it, but now the negative gut felling has turned into an intestinal malignant tumor. I'm riding my harley today but I'll never wear anything with the harley logo again and never take my bike to get service at a dealership again. Shame for the people that work there but it is what it is.

      I do have life time oil changes at my dealership when I got my first bike but not sure I will take it back. On one hand it will cost them money if I do, but it costs me money every second time...

    So, Harley sales haven’t really suffered anything over this recent crisis. The fact of the matter is as much as Harley riders protest, they’re going to buy Harley Davidson‘s forever and they will not switch to Indian or anything else for that matter. And the used market only gets stretched so far. They will be forced into new models, and that’s just the way it’s going to be. Harley also is planning on lower production and much higher retail costs. They’ll be targeting the six-digit demographic.
