existen hack para eso..... no es la unica, tambien las tienes para super mario world, busca "niveles imposibles de super mario world"...practicamente nadie podría pasarlos pero con la ayuda de hacks ves las jugadas perfectas para no cometer ningun error
No way nobody read the title, TAS stands for "Tool Assisted Speedrun", it's not a human playing, it's the result of months or maybe years of game analysis, path finding, glitches and exploits put together with a PC program where you enter the inputs you want the PC to do on each frame with the purpose of finding the most optimal gameplay.
Alex Glass you didnt figure it out from the japanese letters everywhere lol. But yea this is probably the first version of yoshi island before release to Canada and US
There was no reason for nintendo to add extra stuff in the GBA version ,UNLESS they already wanted to do that in the snes version but they run out of space ,because the superfx2 chip doesn’t allow more then 2MB content on it,sadly. But sometimes i wich a hacker could add more stuff in the snes version by also modding the superfx2 chip’s bios to accept content as big as desired.
Makes sense, that must be why super mario advance 3 has no extra content, except mario bros for being a minigame, too bad there is no 100% complete TAS in the gba version, taking into account that it took a lot of work to make in the snes version.
+HappyHappyCultist From niconico's author comment,"if i goal without waiting, the game will crash due to enormous lag, so I wait until the lag becomes less."
to be honest, I only prefer the SNES version because I can identify with the controller, I don't have to look at a tiny sceen (although with a gameboy player I wouldn't have that probem) and the sound quality is poor compared to the SNES version (which of course is because of the limitations of the GBA). I think because I'm speedrunning the SNES version, I've played it so much, I don't like "the change". All in all, I'd say the GBA version is just as good as the SNES version...... Yoshi's Island DS can still burn in hell, screw that game
When it comes to 100%, I believe "Endless World of Yoshies" (also known as "Crazy Maze Days" in some countries), i.e. "Secret 6", is by far the longest stage in the game. However, there's a lot of backtracking, going in circles, crossing over, etc. But generally, what is "the longest stage in Yoshi's Island"? In terms of pure length... probably Danger -- Icy Conditions Ahead!! (World 5-3)
That depends on your definition of "length". World 6-5 can on average take longer to complete than 5-3 (whether you're simply getting to the goal, or getting 100 points). This is mainly because it's slowly auto-scrolling. However, 5-3 is _much_ longer when it comes to the physical length. World 6-5 is roughly 7000 pixels wide. However, 5-3 is _WAY_ longer. The final area, where you have to ski down the slopes, _alone_ is about 10,500 pixels. Combine this with the rest of the stage, and the total width of this stage is probably over 20,000 pixels, close to _three times_ the length of World 6-5. If 6-5 wasn't auto-scrolling, it wouldn't be that long at all. Infact, 2-2, 2-5, 3-1, 3-7, 4-1, 4-3, 4-6, 4-8, 5-1, 5-2, 5-4, 5-6, 5-7, 6-2, 6-3, 6-4, 6-7, 6-8, and Extra 6, are all longer than 6-5, physically.
Yeah, it was powerful enough to have that game ported to the system. Unfortunately, not all visual effects were ported to the GBA version, but they're still better visual effects than the ones on the DS sequel.
22:33 BEST PART!!!

Thats because this is a tool assisted ROM gameplay. Vid is taken from a TAS channel, without proper credit. Sad.
Glad to see the gba version is getting spedran
I don’t know if it’s me but the last world, “Endless world of Yoshi” is top 1 title of a Yoshi level
For GBA user, I was surprised that there's no secret stages in original
Everyone talking about 23:33 but no one asks how he went through a one-way door at 26:46

this is an awesome game

I instantly knew the way the technique was speedrun like
Just imagine if this game had a Time Trail mode and you had to beat this guy's ghosts...
This game needs more TAS runs like this.
0:16 this is theme drum started level ?
This is the version I grew up with. Its so dang close to the original
This is worthy of one of becoming a "xXy0shisku$h420Xx [MLG] pr0 sp€€drun" montage.
It is just amazing in the literal sense of the word
22:33 --> at the beginning of secret level 6, yoshi is moved so that its sounds fit the music xD ahahah!! nice!!
I really like the Yoshi's island opening! It shows all Yoshi's and baby Mario! I think this is the Japanese version or something!
Alex Glass you didnt figure it out from the japanese letters everywhere lol. But yea this is probably the first version of yoshi island before release to Canada and US

I can not believe it! You play very good!
You are correct to not believe him. Their certain cheats that can be used to test game levels. By no means it that a human playing!

Did someone ever make TAS video on Yoshi's Island DS? That game is clearly made for TAS!!
The moving part near the end in world 4 made me really nervous, I almost cried

2:20 why did he wait?
I think it’s so it doesn’t make him play a minigame. If it lands on a flower, it starts a minigame for extra lives.
Likely to prevent major lag, because sometimes there's lag spikes.
There was no reason for nintendo to add extra stuff in the GBA version ,UNLESS they already wanted to do that in the snes version but they run out of space ,because the superfx2 chip doesn’t allow more then 2MB content on it,sadly.

I wonder how many people like the SNES version better despite the GBA remake is vastly improved while still being the same thing..
to be honest, I only prefer the SNES version because I can identify with the controller, I don't have to look at a tiny sceen (although with a gameboy player I wouldn't have that probem) and the sound quality is poor compared to the SNES version (which of course is because of the limitations of the GBA).

Dans cette version le nombre de niveaux a été porté a 60 et parmi eux un consacré a tous les véhicules du jeu!

I'd say 6-5, The Very Long Cave, is longer than 5-3
That depends on your definition of "length".
World 6-5 can on average take longer to complete than 5-3 (whether you're simply getting to the goal, or getting 100 points). This is mainly because it's slowly auto-scrolling.

How do you unlock the secret levels?
Max Gaming complete the level 6-8 from unlock the secrets levels
thanks
JuanDiaz02Gamer I thought you unlock the secret levels by getting all items in all levels!
You unlock all Secret levels from beating the game, and all Extra levels from getting 100 points in all other levels (for each world)
Only in the gba version though
WHAT?! Yoshis Island on thr GBA? I never knew the GBA was so powerful...
It is 32 bit SNES is 16 bit, DKC is on gameboy color
Yeah, it was powerful enough to have that game ported to the system. Unfortunately, not all visual effects were ported to the GBA version, but they're still better visual effects than the ones on the DS sequel.
And I thought I was good st the game. This person is JUGGLING EGGS AND ENEMIES WHILE PLAYING. Astonishing.

Why is it in Japanese instead of english
Because it's the Japanese version of the game (obviously). Regional versions exist.

I didn't know you could wall jump in this game...
ひみつってアドバイスだけなの?
Hey, why is Yoshi doing wall jumps? If Mario 64 DS taught me anything, Yoshi can't do that.
Mr. Oscar It’s took assisted for the speed run you can’t do it in the actual game
あまりに凄すぎて怖い。
i tried some of the secrets levels...... not as easy as this guy make it look
this guy used a Tool Assist...
i know that, i meant to say by that that he's a pro, i thought it was obious
Dave Baron It SHOULD be obvious. Only pros can pull this off, even while TASing.

Can't be real o_O
It's tool-assisted, using special software designed to exploit glitches and shortcuts in a ROM to play faster than normal.
