Try a squirt of silicon lube on the axles, if the wheels dont spin freely it will cause this issue, the flaps on a spitfire are more air brakes than flap and on the full scale aircraft they only had 2 positions,up or down, they were mainly for slowing the aircraft down to get it in on short fields, it is such a slippery aeroplane it can use up a lot of runway, thanx for sharing fellows.
I have a BT spitfire which is around a 65 inch span, it needed 500gms of lead in the nose and is very tippy on its wheels but what do you do, I prefer to have the nose weight for longitudinal stability in the air, it flys great, so I am not changing it.
I love all of your videos! I have a specific question about this one though. This very plane is up for sale and I was thinking about buying it tomorrow. Did it ever get fixed and fly right?
Thank you very much for the kind words. I have flown this airplane one more time after adjusting the landing gear position and adjusting the center of gravity. The plane flew better but we still did not have the right prop, so their performance still wasn't quite there but it was a great Improvement

@@ronniedurham gas or glow?
I would like to use a multi cylinder 4 stroke engine. They are pretty pricy but they sound so good
@@ronniedurham I would go with a DLE 55.
