They get stuck with tall grousers too! I have stuck a couple myself, amazing what a good winch can do. Nice dozer!

Just idle back at slow speed let the wrecker do the pulling. So the cable doesn't go slack.

Your little TD is meant to stay on dry road building unless you want to change tracks.

Knowing when to stop before you totally bury it was the key to being able to get it out. pay no attention to all the armchair operators on here you did right.

I've had a couple of tractors like this one with flat tracks. I found them to be of very limited use because of just what you see here. This tractor would hardly back up the hill even when it wasn't stuck. You need good deep cleats for this kind of work. I had a friend that cut lengths of 1/2" x 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" angle iron and welded them on because he didn't want to buy a set of tracks. Worked like a charm.

  • @scrappiron6307

Grouser bars can be welded on if u don't want to buy new.
and yes I've buried a dozer or two.
Sad feeling when u go to back up and alls u do is go down
Glad u retrieved ur machine with relative ease

Get some good cleated tracks for this tractor, or get a tractor with good cleated tracks (or stay completely away from the mud). Tracks like these with pads only are nothing but trouble for the kind of work seen here.

Or the person filming, it would have chopped him/her in half if it had parted, best to always stand clear of wire when it's under load.
