I work at a seal rehabilitation centre and it would fit perfectly in this zoo! We only rehabilitate, so once the seals are healthy or can eat on their own (with baby seals who lost their mom), they are released into the wild again. There are 3 different fases:1. intensive care where the seal care comes 5 times a day to feed and to give medicine. Fase 2. Where the seal can eat for itself and can swim more and fase 3. Where the seal only have to eat a lot and can be released again. I think something like that would fit perfectly into this rescue program! Love to see this build, keep up the good work!
Really good job, looking forward to seeing this finished! Another thing that could add to the realism is some sort of wavebreaker out in the sea, I've seen projects where they combine them with "fake" reef building. So basically the main wavebreaker wall protects the coast from storms, erosion, etc, and also the artficially created reef. It would make for a sort of passive sanctuary for marine biodiversity. As for therapeutic animals I only know stuff about boars but most people are super afraid of them so they don't work that well haha.
In Melbourne children hospital in Australia there’s a meerkats exhibit in the hospital apparently Melbourne zoo partner up with Melbourne children hospital
I have never heard of orangutan therapy and when you presented the idea in the livestream, I was a bit sceptical. I did some research and didn't find any offers. Apart from dolphins, usually only classic pets are used for therapy (dogs, horses, etc.) that are used to people and have been tamed. I therefore think that the enclosure does not quite fit the idea of the project. I would therefore appreciate it if you would reconsider the concept of this enclosure. Here is my suggestion for an alternative background story. There used to be a zoo on the site of the Rescue Station where the animals lived in poor conditions and were paraded for the amusement of visitors. It was then bought up by animal rights activists. One of the preserved and now modernised enclosures is the orangutan enclosure, which used to be a show area (i.e. the current therapy area). The rescue station now only holds information lectures here and explains to visitors why monkeys are not pets. That is my personal opinion. If you like the concept, I'm totally fine with it. The great thing about this video game is that we can do anything we want 😊. Regardless of that, I really like the idea of the enclosure with the islands and I'm already looking forward to the sequel 😊
I never heard of orang utan therapy...Dolphin therapy is bad enough for dolphins, honestly. When it comes to zootherapy, we should really stick to domestic animals who can better handle stress and closed settings. (This comment is about reality, not Planet Zoo - we can pretend whatever we want in a video game. ☺)
