My favorite moment is the look Gosling gives Carell when he opens his velcro wallet. You can just see the stuff going through his head, he's so upset about it.
I love seeing everyone's reaction to the scene where everything is revealed 😂 love all the characters and especially your reactions. But in all seriousness, David Lindhagen deserved that fade 😠
@@BaddMedicine I love badd medicine’s videos, and I would like to see badd medicine’s thoughts on one of my favorite movies called little miss sunshine. It is a really good movie and the story of it is amazing.
@@cocoidiea8643 But that's really the way Ryan laughs when he's not expecting something. You can see it in an interview with Graham Norton and Harrison Ford, the exact same thing happened to him and he reacted the same way.
If you pay attention in the scene where the picture gets knocked down, you can actually see a family picture with Emma/Hannah in it, giving away the twist at the end
This movie is top tier and I feel it is overlooked by a lot of reactors. I'm so glad you guys watched and appreciated this film! One of my favorites. ❤
I saw it on accident when it first came out. The movie I wanted to see was sold out and I ended up buying a ticket to see this instead and I am SO GLAD bc this movie is one of my FAVORITES now
The writing in this movie is so genuine and I think that's what makes it so good. All of the jokes are structured around slice of life humor and not silly gaffes or pratfalls like a lot of romantic comedies in the 2000s (which I love in their own way). I like that it's not exactly a romance not exactly a comedy not exactly a drama, but fuses all of those genres together and takes its time with the story. It reminds me a lot of Nora Ephron movies like When Harry Met Sally and Sleepless in Seattle and You've Got Mail. I'm glad you guys enjoyed it!
Seeing this in theaters was such a blast. The plot twist with Cal sleeping with Robbie’s teacher had the entire theatre belly laughing, and then the second plot twist that ended with the scuffle in the backyard had everyone SCREAMING. This is one of the best romcoms to come out in the last 20 years imo; there’s been some hits since this movie, but they’ve been few and far in between because the majority of Hollywood is so focused on reboots and seems so anti-romcom these days. I miss the years when romcoms saturated movie releases.
@@Sif3r The Oscars are voted on by the academy, that doesn’t mean they’re appreciated by the public, just like how there are Oscar winners that were less deserving than other nominees
This is definitely one of my absolute favorite movies. The end scuffle just kills me every time. I think you guys would love a movie called Death At A Funeral, but the UK version, it's the original. The cast is absolutely great, including, Mathew Macfadyen, Alan Tudyk, and Peter Dinklage. It's absolutely hilarious.
Fun fact Emma Stone actually freaked out and had to stop filming when Gosling lifted her up in the air from unconscious trauma from a childhood accident causing her to break both forearms.
I love how the Twilight reference cracked y'all up and then I noticed the one on the left is literally wearing a Jacob Twilight shirt💯😹😹😹 I absolutely love you guys... definitely keep up the awesome work...Carpe diem Mon freres
Between the awesome cast and the great twist at the end this is a underrated classic comedy. This is one of those where you don't expect it to be as great as it is.
I've always said this is the greatest comedy ever made. It's got heart, humor, romance, and cringe. It's grounded in reality and very witty. It pushes the boundaries of what is appropriate. It has a host of characters that you care about portrayed by some really great actors. It even has a twist to boot. 10/10
The “I’m so glad you bought me that ice cream.” And “Me too.” always makes me tear up. I love that they don’t fully get back together but they acknowledge that they have three beautiful kids, they’ve both grown and know that there’s still a lot of love and respect for each other left.
@@fanvcriticWell, for starters, their relationship does start by him publicly threatening to fall from a Ferris wheel when she refuses to go out with him. 😅
If you like this, you have to try Lars and the Real Girl. It's wonderful and I'm low key angry at how no one seems to know about it. So good. He does some of the best acting I've seen done in that movie.
I did not get the Hannah/ Nana twist and I’m so happy you guys didn’t either!! 😅 Great reaction. The irony of the young girl not being interested in a 13 year old but in love with a grown man>>
I watched this the other day with my dad. Now I get to watch it again with my dudes! This has the best climax and twist in Rom Com history. And Gosling simply hits this roll out of the park!
I was visiting family in California, went out to play basketball with a cousin and all his friends. Went to his friends house where they ordered pizza and ordered this movie to watch. I thought it was so weird watching a rom com with nothing but guys. Did not stop laughing for the longevity of this movie, the twist at the end had us looking like girls at a slumber party. I became a fan of Gosling after this movie. His mannerisms, and the whole scene when they go shopping for new clothes is phenomenal. Always a great memory any time I get to rewatch this movie!
One of my favorite comedies! And this was such a perfectly casted movie as well. As you said, no one else could have played Cal. The fight scene is truly iconic and was laughing the entire time when I watched it the first time.
My biggest laugh during this reaction was in the review when Mason was talking about Marisa Tomei: "...we haven't seen her since Spiderman as Aunt Bea...". She was Aunt Mae, Aunt Bea was from the Andy Griffith show! Anyway, great reaction to a great movie.
It was so worth waiting for your guys expressions when all the characters gathered in the end especially with the “reveal” of Hannah being their daughter

This is one of my favorite movies of all time!! I haven’t even watched the video and already like and comment. You guys are my favorite reactor channel!!
Loved your reaction to this! It's SUCH a great movie. I feel like it's a very underappreciated treasure. So happy you guys enjoyed it so much. Just a little comment - at approximately 27:27 when Emily is super upset at Cal after finding out he's been sleeping with a bunch of people, I think the thing that actually upset her the most, and the reason she says to him, "Who are you?" is because she thinks that, the special thing he used to tell her, "You're the perfect combination of sexy and cute." was used as a line to pick up another woman. So, while I think she accepts that she has no right to judge him or be angry at all with the fact that he's sleeping with other women (even if it understandably makes her sad) it's more the fact that he used something that she thinks of as a special and intimate thing between them as a couple, as a way to score. I think that's the part that really hurt her. Of course, Cal didn't really mean to use the line, it was just all a big miscommunication. Something this film uses a lot, which is a trope that I often dislike, but it's all so perfectly executed here that it raises this film high up on my list. Great reaction!
Wow, it's not like I thought your stock value couldn't go any higher, then you go and check this one out?! Nice one. That was a cool watch-along with the two of ya, thanks for that.

another surprisingly refreshing rom-com type movie is 'warm bodies.' it has nothing in common with this movie except for the actress who played jessica lol. that movie gets slept on a lot, though, and it deserves more praise
You guys need to watch the interview the Emma and Ryan did about the lift from when they were on Graham Norton's show, it makes that scene so much funnier to me
Late to the party but had to respond to when Pride and Prejudice was compared. Yes you had every right to want more getting to know each other, because it DID happen in the book. Through conflict, within the bounds of the manners of the time. Challenging each other with lots of dialogue that was left out or changed. TV series gives us more, but the book, if you can get round the language, has so much more, its perfect!
My favorite part is when Jacob takes his ring off and goes an punches David Lindhagen then is like you know how much pain you have cause my friend you dumb stupid baster or something like that i watch this movie just for that part and the part with the teacher too
If you guys haven't seen it yet, you should watch What We Do In the Shadows (the movie). Feel like you guys would love it. It's a mockumentary about vampire flatmates living in New Zealand.

Omg this is perfect, I literally watched this (for the thousandth time) two days ago and am STOKED to see this here today. This movie is hilarious 😂
40:44 - I know this was a year ago, but if you really haven’t seen it, a Tropic Thunder reaction would be pure gold
FINALLY !!! 😊 this is my FAVORITE comedy movie ! I NEVER get tired of this movie. Its perfect !
another surprisingly refreshing rom-com type movie is 'warm bodies.' it has nothing in common with this movie except for the actress who played jessica lol. that movie gets slept on a lot, though, and it deserves more praise
You guys need to watch the interview the Emma and Ryan did about the lift from when they were on Graham Norton's show, it makes that scene so much funnier to me
Now i want the boys to really watch BRIDGERTON
Cause now I know that OAK hated pride and prejudice.....Let see what they have to say about that
Late to the party but had to respond to when Pride and Prejudice was compared. Yes you had every right to want more getting to know each other, because it DID happen in the book. Through conflict, within the bounds of the manners of the time. Challenging each other with lots of dialogue that was left out or changed. TV series gives us more, but the book, if you can get round the language, has so much more, its perfect!
For sure one of my favorite movies it’s for sure something I watch when it’s on no matter how many times I’ve watched it 😂
My favorite part is when Jacob takes his ring off and goes an punches David Lindhagen then is like you know how much pain you have cause my friend you dumb stupid baster or something like that i watch this movie just for that part and the part with the teacher too
Love this movie, made me love Gosling a lot more
The Oak should watch The Lizzie Bennett Diaries to get that flavor in a Pride & Prejudice adaptation
It was great at showing adult relationships very well. Couples sometimes grow apart and start doing dumb shit, causing to uncontrollable outcomes.
Now, ya’ll gotta watch the movie, “How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days”!
Great reaction, such a funny movie. I would recommend Little Miss Sunshine and Dan in Real Life for Steve Carell watches.
If you guys haven't seen it yet, you should watch What We Do In the Shadows (the movie). Feel like you guys would love it. It's a mockumentary about vampire flatmates living in New Zealand.
Shows better though
@@KrystalAnn0688 agreed, though better to start with the movie to see if they like it before committing to the full show. Plus the movie comes first anyway.
